- Hi beans! Today we are doing a little $100 fall/winter thrift store challenge!!! I went to a few of my favorite thrift spots around Los Angeles and found some iconic pieces that I have been searching for for YEARS...enjoy! sending shimmies :)

THANK YOU for standing up for re-sellers. There’s so much unloved clothing out there that eventually makes it to the landfill and I love saving them for myself to wear and to re-sell too.
YES! I don't live near to good thrift stores and I'm grateful for resellers cause they give so many people in a situation like mine to buy nice clothes in a sustainable way
I mean when re sellers are selling graphic tees for 50 to 70 thats a issue 🤦🏻♀️
@@toxxiklovee I totally agree!! That's one of the main reason IMO, Thrift Store prices are going up, due to resellers getting items for Cheap, then up marking it 10x !! I understand the business aspect, however I don't agree with the Large mark up margins!! I'd rather do my own thrifting. 😉
I worked non profit thrift stores for many years. I absolutely love that you hang your items back in place, instead of throwing them over the rack. It was my biggest pet peeve! How you styled that dress with the skirt was just brilliant. I adore your energy 💖

You know our Queen mentioned some valid points but I also want to point out that it is also highly noted that Goodwill in the last few years has also gone up in prices which has led me as a Florida native not to really shop there anymore like I don't I can't remember the last time I set foot inside a Goodwill and that is just because of how bad their prices have gone up on everything it's not just the clothes or the dresses or the shoes it's everything I remember when Goodwill furniture used to be cheap and reasonable not anymore which leads me to believe that you know I want to check out like the smaller thrift stores and stuff like that because you know I'm about our girl you know getting the most bang for your buck.

okay you talking about the corporate chain thrift stores raising their prices totally makes sense. cuz volunteers of america has become my fav (can only speak for ohio) and they’re nonprofit! love that
& maybe this is bad but when i buy something and end up not liking/wearing it as much i can consider it a donation to charity at the very least 🥰

Oh my goodness, I LOVE YOU! Literally just found your channel and SAY THE WORD SISTER, regarding Value Village and Savers being overpriced/for profit/not helping anyone in the community in any way... I'm in Canada (Value Village) don't get me started... plus our dollar SUCKS!!!
YAAAAAAAAS to LOCAL thrift stores with a hand written cardboard tag attached to each piece!!! AND giving back to the community, AND offering very reasonable prices. I'm definitely going to be more cognizant and focus on these local gems in 2023!!!

Totally agree!! I love thrifting but find local community thrifts are the best!!! They aren't out to make millions, and you can find awesome funky stuff for a great deal.

I get virtually all of my clothes from Poshmark and Mercari eBay and Depop basically my entire wardrobe is from there and I got amazing deals especially from Mercari you can get the absolute best vintage treasures for mere dollars!!!
I shop at my local thrift store thats completely a non profit store and all the money goes to scholarship funds for children in Our area ,even the people that work there r volunteers and dont get paid anything but the reward it gives them and theyre all so nice and sweet and I love going there so much .Its always alot of different things to find and I call it treasure hunting lol I shop that way and have for years and years and I love it .

Okay that '80s style dress would look amazing with a black pencil skirt underneath, and you just kind of sort of wear the dress as almost like a tunic or have like a long slinky skirt underneath it and just layer the two that would look absolutely fabulous! with maybe some like white ballet flats or pumps.
