you can tell her voice is healthier. like there’s no more straining or yelling and she’s actually hitting the notes she sings in the studio! clearer runs and better pitch in general. literally perfection!! so proud of her for pushing through everything she’s been through.
And the fact she is better with her ED, that helps a lot... since ED actually affected her voice

Thing that I want to understand is how do you go low from "I was--" and then suddenly go up to "daAAAANCIN WITH THE deEEviiIIiIILLll" in almost the same breath.
It’s a C4 to D#5 jump, I’m sure D#5 isn’t that hard of a note to hit for her, and C4 is a very relaxed note

okay, I can do this! the way I do it-- there's a perfectly placed breath right there. you have the chance to shift your throat into the right position for the high note in the breath.
I just love seeing how demi is back and better then ever, her voice well rested and so full of emotion, and she's now expressing her sexuality too, really nice to see her finally opening up

Demi's slept on a lot because people love to hate her because she has a lot of trauma that jumps out at bad times and she acts out and looks a fool and people go online and cherry-pick information in the story to twist her intentions and make her look like a monster when she's trying to talk about societal issues that people aren't ready to talk about yet.

there's an intergenerational pattern of alcoholism in my family. I love it when people acknowledge its existence in their families because when people don't talk about it, it honestly feels like you're alone in it even though you know you're not.
The pattern is caused by learnt behaviour and choices just like abusive behaviour and emotional manipulation. Its not genetic for shit but people who are narcissists like demi use it as an exuse.

My partners family is an example of this and my partner falls into it. I have tried to persuade him to get help for it but he refuses. I have tried to support him for 7 years but I am at the point where I have to consider if I want my future children to also grow up in this environment, if my partner is refusing to break the cycle.

To answer your question, Demi said in the documentary that the two years she took off from performing (after her OD) rejuvenated her voice.
