@@revenantreads same here! I try to go to a Ren fair at least once a year. Thanks for the reviews my man. I'm reading between two fires now but I passed on the second book. Possession stories usually aren't my thing with WPB as my exception. But between two fires is so unique. I bounce back and forth from fantasy to horror and all these years I've never thought to look for a combo of the two. I haven't been gripped by a book like this in a long time. Thanks again for the reviews. Hearing other people's thoughts on the book I'm reading helps sort out my own thoughts and feelings towards the book. I found you through Juan's channel and I really enjoy the content you guys create.
Hey, Vin, thanks again for taking part in the group read for the Case Against Satan! Really appreciated your thoughtful comments during the livestream. 😀
Between two fires looks really interesting. Really interesting how you talk about the different versions of the exorcism narrative in the books and films. I will keep my radar up fro that book too. Great video Vin.
Between Two Fires sounds fantastic. I pushed back The Case Against Satan but I look forward to reading it. Great video. Also, sorry for all your real world challenges. That kind of thing is rough.
I read a Distant Mirror earlier in the year and would recommend. I liked the idea of the broader look across society and my only disappointment was an unevenness of attention to this broader remit as the book progressed (or maybe it was me). I'm sorry to hear of your loss and hope you and your family are able to have time together to share memories and comfort each other.
Sorry to hear about your loss, it is hard to read when that happens. I'm reading SPQR too (130 pages in) and like it. I have read the first two books in the Invasion series and quite liked both of them. I will start the 3rd one as soon as I finish SPQR. Will you review SPQR ?
Sorry, I didn't see you comment when you posted it. I hope you're enjoying SPQR if you're still reading it. I'm glad you're liking the Invasion! series - I really liked the third installment.
Between Two Fires was a fascinating read. Few books made me sad to finish as this one did.
I was required to read "A Case Against Satan" at my university, had me hooked! So nice to view someone else's synopsis on the book.
Fun fact Burlhman is a traveling Renaissance fair worker who plays a jester. So he really knows his stuff when it comes to medieval times.
I remember reading that in his online bio. As someone who has to make an annual Ren Faire trip, I found that highly endearing.

Really enjoyed your discussion on possession! All the people reading SPQR at the moment inspired me to pick up a copy too 🥰
Thanks! I hope you enjoy SPQR.

Thank you very much. And thank you for your thoughts on A Distant Mirror.
don't know if anyone has mentioned a possession film from Germany called Requiem that came out a few years ago....I'm curious what you'd think of it.
I’ll certainly look into it. Thank you for the recommendation.
