Hi Sweet Adjele, when did Ghanaian local jollof used palm oil. I am surprised. I laughed at Nigeria friends when they said they used palm oil. Enlighten me.
@esimeaku4514 This was how we used to cook our jollof rice in Ghana in the olden days, especially for those of us who grew up in the villages. This is the original Ghana jollof rice.
And this always tastes
better than the current jollof rice.
Our green is greening and our rice is ricing😀
Our english is englishing🤪
England should come and learn from us
Almost identical to Nigerian local jollof minus the garlic and rosemary
Oh ok 😊
It's identical to Nigerian local/village rice with a little twist. Which one is authentic Ghana local jollof? The word authentic has been abused in the context of the title mbok😏😏
@@titilayoadeuyi6584 Ok ma, palm oil Jollof only belongs to Nigeria like every other food in Africa Thank you
@@SweetAdjeley I haven't said so but for what it's worth, the term authentic just doesn't sit well with me as it's a copy with some modifications here and there. I have seen Ghanaians attack Naija creators for using palm oil not only in village rice but even stew. So to me this particular style is not of Ghanaian origin and can't be termed "authentic" as it defies the true meaning of the word. I'm not saying it belongs to Nigeria as I can't lay claim to it's origin but it's not in any way authentic to Ghana and you shouldn't lay claim to its origin by means of your representation of the dish. That's all I'm trying to say ma'am. Gracias!
@titilayoadeuyi6584 not true, I’ve been eating palm oil Jollof before the invention of social media and if you check the comment section you would clearly see other Ghanaian share experiences from their childhood, the fact that your people eat it too doesn’t make it solely a Nigerian dish, trust me whenever I make anything Nigerian I don’t fail to mention it, this right here is an authentic recipe from my grandmother which I enjoyed throughout my childhood besides I can title my video as I see fit, this is how a person like you who like to spark unhealthy debate and bring division among nations claimed gari belongs to Nigeria even Semolina which is of Italian origin also belongs to you people, abe allow us live, the sun doesn’t rise and set of Nigeria alone, you’ve never commented here but here you come with your negative know it all energy which is not welcomed here my dear, take it somewhere else ✌🏽
🇬🇭
Jolof rice whit tomato not palm oil
Just a pot of ricé with all this. In this Tinubu regime,? Ana m anuuuuu!
Clove inside off😢
Thyme is pronounced Time
Ok
Why use palm.oil? Ghanaian jollof is not made with palm but mostly other oils.
Local or native jollof rice is generally made with palm oil.
My Grandma does the same
@abenaduncan5037 I’m even surprised she didn’t know😘💕
The rice really looks good but hearing that you added snails, felt bad, you people don't have food to eat snails
Awww snails are a delicacy for us, really delicious, and quite expensive at times 😊 Thank you soo much for watching ❤️❤️❤️
