    This kind of wave is actually originally from Mainland China. During the Song dynasty, the artist Ma Yuan is well-known for drawing different kinds of Water waves. Water Album is one of his best drawing collections. So technically this is Chinese wave. During the Tang and Song dynasty period, this style of wave is then first introduced to Japan....

    Thank you so much for sharing, its inspiring and humbling when artists share the love of art just because. Not for fame or money. From how he talks about it, you could see he really loves what he does.

    A hell of a tutorial. A so much easier way to draw and figure out waves. Surely a short cut for the best artistic result. Thank you, Jeff.

    dragonsink6988 It doesn't matter if you like his art or not. He's a respected artist from years of patience, developing his own personal style and taking the time to share it with others so that they can learn to create their own. That's how you give back to the industry; not from opening a few shops and being bitter and hateful towards others work. It's a shame that 15+ years of experience hasn't taught you that.

    • @joshuagargalione378
      @joshuagargalione378 Před 8 lety +1

      if you were taught in an apprenticeship, you were told not to divulge secrets. it's a shame that people give away information freely. it's not being bitter it's maintaining tradition and keeping information sacred from those who haven't earned it.
      now everyone thinks they are a tattoo artist because they watched you tube videos from guys who brag about what they know and bought a cheap piece of crap machine on ebay or walmart. if you want to give back to the industry, then hold a seminar for artists that work in shops only.

    • @joshuagargalione378
      @joshuagargalione378 Před 8 lety

      maybe you don't live in a place where there are people tattooing out of their house.

    • @AshleyDale
      @AshleyDale Před 8 lety

      +joshua Gargalione that's true! I felt the need to defend since Gogue's videos have given me the opportunity to build on the fundamentals I've learnt along with an apprenticeship. I get people asking me for apprenticeships left right and centre who do "stick and pokes" at home asking me for advice. I try to keep me cool and tell them to build their portfolios and aim for an apprenticeship... Sharing to help people push their own creativity/drawing skills is never a bad thing. Spreading knowledge of how to tattoo skin is a completely different argument.
