  • VOX’s VTX amplifiers feature a brand new modeling engine and sound even better than ever! By using VET (Virtual Element Technology), which is based on an analysis of the components and amp circuits themselves, VTX amplifiers produce the most accurate and realistic amplifier sounds to date. These new amplifiers also feature a multi-stage Valvetronix tube preamp. This preamp design incorporates authentic analog circuitry to achieve the subtle tonal adjustments and capture the nuances that are distinctive of vacuum tube amps. The effects section has also been revamped and now offers 12 classic effects based on some of the most iconic stompboxes of all time. In addition to this clever circuitry, VTX amplifiers feature a tightly sealed cabinet and a proprietary bass-reflex design to deliver stunning resonance. Go beyond the realm of previous modeling amps with the new VOX ToneRoom editing software that lets you customize the existing amps and effects yourself, or create your own!

It's these mid-crunch tones that are really hard to nail with modelling technology - but (at least based on the video) this new Valvetronix sounds really good. Of course it's being played by a pro-player and we're hearing a miked up tone into a Chandler Germanium Pre-Amp into Digi 003 interface - so just be mindful that it might not sound quite like this at home or with your band. The real test of course is to try one out in person to check out it's dynamic response, volume roll-off, and 'feel'. But it's great to see Vox bringing out something new and I'm definitely looking forward to trying one of these amps out.

The chords sound good (really good) but the notes still miss something even though it has a valve in it. Could just be the eq though.
