Spent the weekend reorganizing some of my Bluray shelves as well, moved films I'm least likely to rewatch any time soon to the bottom, grouped my TV collections, and expanded the 4K collection to another shelf to fit more in. After I get 1 more media shelf I'm going to reorganize the entire collection alphabetically (over 3,000.) The only films I sell are duplicates and older format duplicates, a few things I donate to the local senior center which has an annual sale of donated items to raise money for the center. Nowadays if a Blu-ray comes with a DVD I'll give the DVD to an uncle to watch and then he donates them to his library.
Wow, great that you have so many films. I try to donate what I can when I’m upgrading or if it’s a film I don’t think I will watch again. I’m thinking of adding another shelf soon too.

I donate old formats when I upgrade, but I have a hard time getting rid of any entertainment. I’m always convinced that I’ll want to revisit it and like you, I’m consequently running out of space. Both books and DVDs are stacked sideways in some spots to make room.
Same here, I'm always running out of room. I do find there are some films that, although I enjoyed, I do not plan to watch again so it's easier to donate. So far, that's been the case and I haven't been missing a film that I gave away. Also, most films I give away are on DVD so I can always upgrade if I want to buy back the film.
i donate my dvds i dont like and keep ones i really like that are worth rewatching. to me i would rather people enjoy films i dont like. to me it feels good to donate dvds to a hospice shop for other people to have not just hord them.
Same here, I love to donate books and movies so that others can enjoy.

I was going to say that the Kaurismäki set is out of print as far as I'm aware but later on you say that you managed to snag it, which is great. They're very good transfers, it contains almost all of his feature films bar 3, and has about 10 short films, it's outstanding. I feel like his films just don't get talked about much so any morsel of discussion I can get on here is right up my alley haha. I would say that my favourite is Drifting Clouds though La Vie de Bohéme is very close.

I watched Ariel this past week and really enjoyed it, can't wait to get to the other films. Definitely comfort films for me and I'm sure I will be talking about Kaurismäki more on the channel in the coming weeks. One of my favorite directors of all time now.

Dave, really enjoy these videos and I think maybe what you should do is depending on where you want to watch Warner or Kino just grab like three or four Blindly and just watch them and give us your thoughts on them. Take care of my friend be well
