it's more like her trying hard to change her style recently. She has tried to abandon her diva style of singing and become more trendy style.
Also, she has been trying so hard to remove her mmm I don't know how to explain it but in Korea we call it 탁성 which means turbid or muddy sound?
Boa also has that voice when she was young but her voice got much clearer after few years.

When I watched this I was surprised bc she’s not usually so nasally. She’s usually really solid (no nasal sounds), but she still did well in the performance. She might’ve gotten sick, but I could be wrong. Love this girl ~

I'm so late, I'm sorry, we all know about Ailee's outstanding technique, breath control and placement, changing tones she is so amazing but I really would like to highlight her passion and why she is singing, her attitude is something that you can't always see, is unique, and as you correctly said, she has a relationship with every single song she belts, that's so impressive and is one of the heviest reason I love so much her, cause you could be able to hit super high notes or having a great vocal range but if you are not delivering your emotions your passion to sing, you failed in that primordiary reasson, for me there is no one like Ailee, She is my fav singer around the world and Im so proud and thankful to meet her, thanks for this outstanding reaction.

I had the best time with Ailee COMMANDING the stage at KCON Abu Dhabi 2016!!! She had such a strong stage presence, and as you said, even with all the belting, it still sounded extremely pleasant! I loved every minute of her live stages!

Here's another one: Ailee has a song collab with Disney titled "깨어나 Wake Up" .
I think the song perfectly embodies her energy and displays her power so well. Her low and high notes there are spine-chilling.
I cant find a live version yet, it was released in June 2021, but definitely a good choice to add to your listening playlist.

She was featured on a show called "Hyena on the Keyboard" and was paired with an artist/pianist. He composed something and she was singing it and adding lyrics. If I remember correctly, the piece had varying octaves and everyone asked her if she's able to go that high. Octaves or registers, I don't recall but it was a tall order and SHE DELIVERED.

Ailee was one of 8 female artists who competed on MNET's "Good Girls (who robbed the broadcast station)", Good Girls for short, and ALL of her stages there were awesome, even though she was clearly not in her best voice for most of it...but even then, she's better than most! My particular favorite is "Don't Cry For Me" with rapper Sleeq. ANY performance from that show, by any artist or combination of artists, (well maybe aside from the earliest ones) is frankly worth reacting to, be careful of copyright issues, though. On another show (Fantastic Duet) with a girl who was, at the time, an ice cream store clerk, Ailee arranged to let the _other_ girl shine (having spotted a diamond in the rough)... while performing Ailee's signature song, "Heaven"! Jaw dropping performance, and that girl is now a debuted idol in her own right, HEDY

You should check out some of her upbeat tracks live on stage - she literally dances all while doing it live. I love her so much lol. And I agree, full performance of "I Will Go to You Like the First Snow" (awkward translation from Korean lol, our language doesn't always come across to English the best) is definitely worth a reaction. It did incredibly well in Korea and as a ballad was beating out pop songs from very well known groups on the mainstream charts.

I've learned a lot from you about Ailee's style because a lot of people in the comment section about her medley said that her voice was changed, not knowing if it is good or bad. Thank you for explaining the way I (we) can understand. Hope you can react to " Reminiscing" and "I will always love you" they are the best performances for me although she has a lot of best performances, especially immortal songs days. AILEE IS JUST A VOCAL GODDESS ❤️
Ailee has such a bright attitude and this is why I luv her performances. Her approach to singing and performance differs a lot from many of the Korean singers and I think this has to do with Ailee being born and raised in the US before moving to the Korea in her early 20s to pursue her signing career. Also, at 21:10 she said she is a Christian and considering some of her songs are gospel alike, I would not be surprised if she being a Christian influenced her singing style, as well.
Her cover of WANNABE by Itzy on Mdromeda Kpop channel is great! She absolutely kills a song written for 5 peoples. She also has two of her own songs (Make Up Your Mind and I will go to you like the first snow) which are obviously incredible as well.
If you haven't checked out the "its kpop live" series on that channel, it's a TREAT. It's filling a serious void of live band performances in kpop. The stage musicians are SO talented and some of their arrangements are just incredible. Mamamoo, Wheein, Ailee, and Wendy all have a couple songs done with a live band on the channel.
If you listen to the WANNABE cover, go listen to the original after. I had never heard the original and my mind was blown when I realized how involved of an adaptation it was.

She’s a well rounded and very strong vocalist. I think her album, “A’s Doll House,” had me in a chokehold.
They actually do have a sort of factory, or I should say many factories. They basically recruit them when they were barely teens and for years control everything they do, eat, sleep, practically everything because they pay for everything for these recruits. They make you absolutely the very best you can be through any way possible, looks, talk, walk, sing, dance, act, model. However, they do that with complete disregard to their mental well being. That's why so many of them have severe depression including Tayeon and IU. And many ends up comitting suicide. However, if you can survive it, you will become the very best all around performer pretty much as perfect as each of them can possibly be.

Thank you. It's fun to go back and watch her old videos when she was a CZcams singer. She's a Korean American, born in the states and went to Korea and made it HUGE!! I've been trying to keep up with her, but I think she was back in the States for awhile and I'm not sure who she is signed with anymore. She did show up in LA for a David Foster concert. He had no idea who she was when he picked her to sing in the audience, but he called her on stage and she WOWd the crowd. The video is on youtube as well. I've loved her music for a long time and I am an avid viewer of reaction videos. I ask every reactor to watch her, but I get little or no response. It's very disappointing, so thank you very much. I just watched her collab with Henry Lau, formerly of Super Junior and Master violinist. They did Rolling in the Deep together. Any of her live performances are awesome, but my absolute favorite that I ALWAYS request is her live performance of 'Everyone' from Korean tv show.
