  • One of my most asked questions I get from future brides is regarding the prep that goes into having wedding ready skin - how to get the glow that all brides want and have your skin on its best behavior before the big day. Whether you want to know when to get certain procedures done, when to add new active ingredients into your skincare routine or need recommendations on products, this is the video for all future brides. I go through everything from 1 year before the big day, to the day of.

6 months to 1 year in advance skin prep is accurate and important information to spread so individuals don’t come in 1-2 months before their wedding date. Things like laser treatments are often done 4-6 weeks apart with the goal of multiple sessions to build off the previous treatment. It’s a long-haul game. And it’s akin to exercise. You wouldn’t start an exercise regime 1 month before your wedding and expect any noticeable changes to your body. Doing things in advance also gives your skin time to correct itself if any side effects pop up. I’ve had PIH after a laser treatment so that’s not something you’d want to risk before the big day.

Man why does this have to be only for bridges. Can't groom have wedding ready skin. 😂😂😂 I'll save this for the next 2 or 3 years when my time comes. Luckily I have already been on tretinoin for almost a year.

I thought you really don't need acids when you are on tretinoin as I built up the tolerance to tretinoin but whenever I use the a 30% AHA and 2% BHA sometimes it irritates my skin.

some have a harder time tolerating retinoids and acids. in that case, I suggest Purify Foaming cleanser as it has glycolic and salicylic acid in a wash so it doesn't cause as much irritation. that's what I use and I'm on prescription retinol-a. From azimdskincare.com
