  • Here we go! Level 10 max theory on the Final Fantasy 7 Remake, not just for the first FF7R entry but the entire series. The most insane yet awesome ending I could foresee Square Enix running. The GOD CLOUD THEORY I am proposing cannot be explained with normal noodles, imagination, fortified tinfoil hats and fantasy game logic will be needed. Exploring everything from why Sephiroth needs Cloud. The characters who’s death got overturned. Shinra & the Meteor. Parallel timeline theorys. The fate of Aerith and why characters like Tifa, Barrett & Jessie evolved so quickly. All of the things!! I’m hyped to see what everyones reaction to my interpretation of the story after enjoying the dankest livestream playthrough. This Final Fantasy 7 Remake ending blew my mind and can’t wait to see more peoples vid on how they explained the ending. Will be doing a proper review of the game soon but had to launch out full level 10 God Cloud theory ASAP.
    WARNING: There will be full spoilers for the ending of Final Fantasy 7 Remake aswell as things like the original story, Advent Children movie and even a bit of type-0. Ending cinematic, cutscenes & a juicily mixed number of the FF7 Remake OST soundtrack will all be appearing in this video! 😉 #FinalFantasy7Remake #Level10 #GodCloudTheory

    Aerith telling cloud not to fall in love with her. To me is like her saying that she knows she’ll die since she has seen her death from sephiroth. And she’s also telling cloud how much of an amazing person he is and how’s she’s so glad they met since she never really said these things sincerely in ffvii original

      honestly, I thought there was a second layer of communication. Namely, between the develoopers and the players that fell in love with Aerith and ship her with Cloud. For me it sounded like the developers said through Aerith "don't fall in love with her" because they know that the story will go that either Zack comes back (and she gets back together with him...which I am actually rooting for. They are so frickin cute!) ....or she dies again. Either way. It is a warning by the developers.

      From my understanding, this thing with "levels" comes from the KH series and perhaps from Nomura's way of telling stories? It is meant to be some kind of "proof" of intelligence yet it cannot be "levels" if it is actually true because then there would not be a need for levels right? So levels are really just how much people want to find patterns and their creativity so that they only look for possibilities rather than presentation and fact? Please explain why people have been referring to levels to someone that has never engaged in the convoluted plot of KH. In the Max video, I was aware of the possibility of many of the things but all of it was just fan theories.

    • @robando2922
      @robando2922 Před 4 lety +5

      @@vincentgraymore This is just me but the way I see it is when you talk about levels one is referring to how deep the storyline goes. This is widespread in the KH series but can be found in other games such as Bloodborne. There are no doubt films and TV shows that do the same. It allows for a piece of fiction to be enjoyed on a more "simplified" way or a "deeper" way. Hope that helps.

      @@ArchAngelNL She is a minor character but she could have a huge impact on Sephiroth. She was already pregnant, before Hojo injected Jenova Cell to the unborn Sephiroth.
      Here the backstory:
      Jenova is an ancient organism Shinra excavated from a 2,000-year-old structure, and Gast drew the wrongful conclusion that Jenova was a member of the Cetra, a species of humans said to have been able to commune with the Planet itself, long thought extinct. Shinra sent Hojo and Lucrecia Crescent to assist him in his research to create the Jenova Project, its goal to create a human with the powers of the Cetra to lead Shinra to the Cetra's fabled Promised Land.
      (Vincent Backstory.... then)
      Lucrecia married Hojo and became pregnant. Then, *Hojo injected cell samples from Jenova into the pregnant Lucrecia and her unborn baby*. (aka Project S)
      After the baby was born, he was taken by Shinra scientists and Lucrecia never had a chance to hold him.
      When he grew up, Shinra told him nothing of his true parentage, instead saying his mother's name was "Jenova"
      NOTE: All those research happened in Nibelheim.
      Gast left the project upon discovering Jenova is not a Cetra, and continued his research on the Cetra in his laboratory at Icicle Inn. (Gast = Aerith's Father)
      (Several years later before Nibelheim Incident)
      Sephiroth read all the research data and documents related about him. Which they thought of Jenova as Cetra. This is where he got all the wrong information about his mother and lineage.

      @@putrahardjono4409 nice breakdown dude, I however knew all that. I just finished up my umptienth playthrough of OG ff7 just the other day. Jenova is arguably Sephiroth's real mother due to her infecting him with her cells and instilling him with power and a mission to become the dark harbinger he has become. He is not sentimental but ruthless. I can not imagine him ever turning because of anything Lucrecia could ever do. Lucrecia in the OG ff7 was, like I stated, a sidecharacter to flesh out Vincent's story. To give motivation for Vincent to fight this evil creation of Hojo and the woman he loved. It also provides backstory for Sephiroth to show how he was actually made seeing as Jenova was nothing more then a fossil. The only twist she could ever provide would be to inform Vincent that she was already pregnant before she hooked up with Hojo meaning Vincent is actually Sephiroth's biological father. This is something i completely expect square to do. Making Lucrecia more then a means of story revelation but be an actual influence on Sephiroth's character would break that character completely and destroy it forever. Sephiroth needs to be cold, unfeeling, ruthless and a puppet master. That does not get changed by someone going im your mommy and let me kiss it all better.

      marcus24000 The planet wants to wipe the humanity as it seems humans as a threat to its own existence due to exploitation of mako. Spoiler: If you remember/played the original game, it releases weapons when black materia is summoned, which start to attack Midgar and people in general, you have to defeat 3 of them. Now back to Red 13’s vision which shows the ending of FF7. At the end of the FF7 and advent children, we get 500 years later with Red 13 and his family looking at deserted Midgar with overgrown vegetation and complete silence except for the birds. We don’t see people, so I’m guessing humans eventually became extinct, even when they stopped using mako after defeat of Sephiroth and shinra. I’m guessing with whispers, it’s similar, it’s sort of protection mechanism, that wants to get rid of humans/protect original story for the sake of the planet as in the original ending humans become extinct which allows the planet to survive for longer. By changing destiny, yes you could still defeat Sephiroth and shinra and humanity may or may not stop using mako, the planet may or may not die...sorry if I’m confusing, I’m trying to hypothesise that whispers just like the weapons (Ruby, emerald and so on) are protective mechanisms that planet uses to save itself regardless if the end result is good for humanity or not.

    I like to think that Sephiroth was making tiny alterations to the story. But Aerith was the one who straight up changed fate when she altered Sephs portal. She threw a card in the mix to save Zack, so that the group could have another pair of hands, especially one who has personally dealt with Sepiroth. With those extra hands, it would allow cloud or Zack to save jessie and biggs during the plate falling. Even though the timelines are split, they may converge at the reunion, and Zack will be there to help. A companion arc simultaneously playing at the same time as our timeline. They wanted to do something similar with FF13 versus, but it got scrapped. This may be their attempt at something similar. But thats just a theory I have. It doesn't alter the major plot points we will experience. But it sets up extra story for us to either experience or maybe even play.

    I love the parallel universe theory and I am all in for it, but I really hope they're not going for Cloud becoming a god. Makes 0 sense in the narrative sense. Becoming a god is not his goal OR his "need". It serves nothing in his development. The great thing about this character in 7 was that he was a nobody who wanted to be somebody but his NEED was to accept himself and accept the love he gets so he can forgive himself and live on. Becoming a god is more a "want" than a "need", and Cloud never wanted that, so it makes 0 sense for him to need that or for the story to conclude like that.
    I really don't want them to ruin another good story with the "chosen one" syndrome. Cloud was just a guy so ashamed of not being high ranked that he didn't show his face in his own town, and grew to be someone who could defeat a god-obsessed, powerful man even though he was no god himself.
    Doing this to him would defeat the whole purpose of the story and ruin the thematic experience.

      I dunno sounds alright to me. I feel like having both zack and aerith dead needs to happen. I know it sounds heartless, however dealing with loss was a huge aspect of the original. If they take that out, it takes away one of the biggest aspects of the game's magic.

Kind of happened with Wedge, because you could hear glass shatter as the Whispers swept him away, insinuating he was thrown out of a window. We don't know where in the building he was - could have been on the 60th floor or the 1st? Haha... So I think it's not a matter of "when" they die - more a matter of "how".
    Reeve also hinted at it, where there is a debt to the planet, which must be repaid - maybe Cloud has to keep that in mind if he is ever given the power to put things right?

Also if there is a debt to be repaid and they wish to subvert our expectations it’s possible that Cloud could die in place of Aerith. But Aerith also speaks as if she knows she’s still destined to die regardless of them defying fate. Yet, Sephiroth wouldn’t want that since he’s probably not summoning meteor this time. It’s so difficult to tell with just the first installment.

So it'll be Cloud and the gang overlooking Midgar where Zack died and it's flashing between Zack and Aerith in the lifestream and Cloud and the rest of the gang overlooking midgar. Then while the gang walk away he speaks to Zack and Aerith and says something along the lines of "I'm sorry, I'll live for you both." Cloud then plunges the Buster Sword into the ground excalibur style and then looks up and says "It'll be a good life" then you see Zack and Aerith walk up behind cloud Advent Children style and then he lets out a small chuckle then says "Good enough". Sephiroth wasn't enough, so go the next step with Cetra-Cloud, that fails, go back to Sephiroth-like clones. That's really the only thing (to me) that explains his ultimate power and that time and time again, he's able to best Sephiroth.

      But it's been 25+ years... so they've had a lot of time to grow as creators and forget their original intentions when they created the OG. So it really can be "fan-fictiony" when they've had so much time apart from it and its legacy has really taken on a life of its own. As someone who wasn't terribly impressed with Advent Children, I'm just worried they're going to end up destroying that legacy.

      The original game was about loss and how to deal with it. No one can take that away from anyone who played the OG or wants to play the game again. It is set in stone.
      But if the creators want to expand on THEIR world, characters and THEIR story, that is their right as the creators and people need to accept that and let what this new series is going to be, just be. The legacy is never going to be not intact. The new story doesn't write over the original, it expands on it in a different way, and probably with a different message.
      Also, nothing is confirmed in the new game, but if you didn't like the canon Advent Children, I might have some bad news for you on where this story is going...

    • @AliceinJapanaland
      @AliceinJapanaland Před 4 lety

      @@finfen9730 I think that's an oversimplification of what the OG was about because there's more than one theme but that's besides the point.
      Yeah, there is a way the creators can ruin it if they essentially unwrite the story with time traveling interdimensional antics. If what comes next in the story undoes what came first, most people couldn't play the OG again without that understanding. Also no one is claiming the creators don't have a right to rewrite the story either so your lecture is unnecessary (and condescending). But the writers themselves said they were interested in the thoughts and ideas of their audience so why shouldn't gamers respond to it? Any creation is subject to critique by its viewers anyway, so telling people to basically shut up and just accept whatever is given is just silly.
      Also, I didn't say I disliked AC just that I wasn't impressed. It didn't really add much value - it just felt like they thought they needed to write a better ending to the OG but ended up writing a mediocre ending instead. In any case, it's precisely because later works by the creators have not lived up to the level of greatness that the OG achieved that I worry about how later installments to the remake will go. However, they've done a pretty fantastic job so far with this first part so I'm willing to give them the benefit of the doubt for now. Just can't shake the feeling that going down the time traveling path typically ends up with stupid convoluted stories almost wherever it's been tried when the story doesn't start out as a time traveling story.

    The original open is Aerith with eyes open, she then visions the events of the game, at the end she opens her eyes from the vision; at the start of the remake she opens her eyes like at the end of the original, so it picks up where the end of the original left off. Aeriths knowledge of the events to come is from the vision she had which is the entirety of the original game.

    Interesting theory, but the idea of Cloud becoming a god of sorts kinda undermines Aerith's character and her whole mission of helping the party in her spiritual form inside the Lifestream. Him becoming a vessel for Sephiroth does makes sense, since that was pretty much what he was in the original, with Sephiroth manipulating him through Jenova to make him fetch the Black Materia and give it to him in the Northern Crater.
    Also, the reason why characters start bonding so fast is because Square wanted this game to be a fully fledged Final Fantasy experience, hence why we have this big epic boss fight at the end with the Whispers and Sephiroth, instead of the final boss of the game being Motor Ball.

      @@jamestyler3606 Your opinion. I love the remake immensely. But it's the same with Tlou2 - some people like the new story / others don't. That said however, FF7re to me, is not only a far more enjoyable game than Tlou2 or FF7, but also my fav game ever so far. And that to no small thanks to my FF7 experience from 1997 & the changes made to the game, which made everything more exciting. FF7 thus remains an important game, still worth experiencing, while the new FF7re story offers a whole new, exciting take on it. I therefore want them to change things further. And I enjoy every minute, I once more get to spend with my fav characters. (Something Tlou2 failed to do.)
      But anyway... We can only wait and see how those scenes will play out. And I also don't expect to get all the answers in part 2. ;)

      That’s what I think they are doing... they aren’t just remaking ff7 they are remaking the entire lore and connecting it to the original game through the remake.
      I’m in a wait and see approach right now. But the amount of care that was put into the first 95% of this game makes me think that they wouldn’t just throw it all away in order to change the story just for the sake of changing the story.
      I think they are taking the old story... sprinkling in and connnecting some of the lore, and at the end of the day we will end up with the same story at the end it we may get there a little differently.
      This additional story element will be occurring concurrently with the old story... but I don’t feel like it needs to fundamentally change anything drastically.

    The original ending of the game did not wipe out humanity. The entire game struggled with whether or not humans were considered evil by the planet as Bugenhagen discussed. At the very end of the duel between Sephiroth and Cloud, the life-stream surrounds Cloud and in that moment recognizes that humans are inherently good. Humans saved the planet against Jenova and Sephiroth AND enabled it to release the life-stream.
    *
    I say this because at the very, very end after Nanaki runs up to the edge of the cliff with his kids, the FF7 logo appears. As it does, you hear children laughing and playing, living happily 500 years later. All the damage with Midgar was reversed and humans live in better harmony with the planet. Not to mention Aerith wouldn't let the planet wipe out humans, especially if that meant all of her friends dying.

  • @BlazeTheBlackHusky
    @BlazeTheBlackHusky Před 4 lety +6

    I started playing the OG after the remake with a fresh perspective. I believe there's a third entity in the lifestream who is doing the same as Aerith and Sephiroth. A third person who, even in the OG, seems to see the event of the future, and even states that they want to try and go against fate. They even mention that the fate they saw is the one we all know and must accept: "Everyone dies eventually. Even if you were to stop the reactors. Even if they stop Sephiroth now, everything will still perish...the damage has been done. But...that's not to say we can't try." They only convey this information to Nanaki, knowing full well that he will live on after the death of humans.
    But here's a direct quote from this person:
    "As a part of the planet, something to help the planet in misery. No matter what happens, it is important to try. Am I just wishing against fate?”
    He doesn't want this future. Right now, there's nothing he can do. But...as a part of the planet? Bugenhagen mentions many times that he is old. That he isn't going to live much longer. It could very well be that he, like Aerith and Sephiroth, could transfer knowledge after death to himself in the past. I fully believe that there's a Lifestream Grey we have yet to see. Bugenhagen in Part 2 will have a new tale to tell for definite.

  • @7BDAC
    @7BDAC Před 3 lety +4

    Sephiroth = Fire, consciousness, order and mascilinity.
    Aerith = Water, unconsiousness, earth and feminity.
    Clouds occur when you combine fire and water.
    Both Aertih and Sephiroth are the universe guiding Cloud to become a god himself, in his own universe where he will guide his own faith, and isn't led by both Sephiroth and Aeris anymore. Sephiroth isn't bad he basically creates challenges for cloud to become strong and stop being alone and depressed and make him accept that evil is also a part of life and him, but you can use this for strength when it is balanced. He also guides cloud directly when he takes over consciousness of cloud. Aerith is the subconcious so her influence is more subtle and is seen in the world itself, in connections and love.
    In order to become the god of his own universe and no longer be a puppet, he has to find the strenght to defeat Sephiroth, as well find love for other people as a reason to fight. And thus Cloud who was alone and nihalistic has created his own meaning to his existence, going from samsara, which is basicly an egg in which a person grows (the old midgar), to nirvana where the world is how he wants it and sees it and wants to fight for (the new midgar).
    But Aeris and Sephiroth both have to die for this to happen (a snake eating his own tail), Aeris is basically clouds "spiritual" mother so that is also why he can't fall in love with her.
