Cloud Strife is the protagonist of Final Fantasy VII, Final Fantasy VII Remake, and Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children. He also appears in the spin-off games of the Compilation of Final Fantasy VII as a supporting character, including Dirge of Cerberus Final Fantasy VII and Crisis Core -Final Fantasy VII-.
An arrogant and proud swordsman at first, Cloud introduces himself to Avalanche as a former member of an elite warrior unit called SOLDIER who has turned mercenary, and uninterested in anything beyond his hired task at hand. Beneath his hardened outer persona is a softer, more caring individual who simply struggles to open up, but is striving to be a hero. Cloud later discovers more about his past and, with the help of his friends, learns there is more to being a hero than possessing physical strength and fame. He develops compassion for the planet and the people he fights to protect from the Shinra Electric Power Company and his nemesis, Sephiroth.
Cloud Strife wields large broadswords in battle, including the iconic Buster Sword, and is a versatile melee combatant. In Final Fantasy VII, he has access to the most powerful weapons in the game, as well as the strongest Limit abilities (all of which involve his sword), though they take the longest to learn. In Final Fantasy VII Remake, Cloud's strength is in his raw damage output and his versatility, able to switch back-and-forth between the agile Operator Mode and the more offensive Punisher Mode that allows him to counterattack. In both titles, Cloud has the best all-around stats. - Zábava

Ok. Cloud was “strong” prior to the remake. Cloud survived a drop from the top plate to the church, with pretty much no injury.

I played the original like over 15yrs ago and then played the remake and crisis core remake. I don’t know what their doing with remake because I honestly don’t remember most of the original except the big plot points

During the Gen Angel and seph fight only one was seen stronger then the rest and its not Sephiroth. When seph was fight the both of them together none of them was realy being serious. When genesis and seph was fighting then they was atleast half their strength. But when seph and gen was coming in for a powerful final bow enough to destroy the place it was only one who stop them both with ease and that was Angeal.
Seph is the most skilled but Angeal is the strongest.

His white wings means he the strongest seph does become that strong until end of ff7 og. Angeal on go kill by zack because he wanted to commit suicide because of learning the true. But if your talking in of og then yes you might be right but during the 3 way fight its in 4k who strong enough to stop gen and seph and he gave the a scoidong later

Dude, Angeal was a fucking wedge in that fight. There were two forces coming at him from opposing sides and they hit him simultaneously. Ofc he can block their attack. It’s not like he then pushed both of them several feet backwards. Plus, Angeal needed to use his whole body weight to block a blow from Sephiroth. Sephiroth is literally seen hurling Angeal and Genesis throughout their sparring match.

None of his feats are really relevant to the highest scaling. Hopefully that changes in the next one

Bro I highly doubt zack beating minerva is canon. There is no way he's dying to a bunch of shinra soldiers if that's the case. She could probably obliterate that army by herself. And you said she's a SUMMON? How would they beat zack AND minerva in that case with a bunch of helicopters, rockets and not even S class soldiers . That's just not realistic at all. Also you see cloud reacting after he hits the coins, he had no idea what he was doing, reacting after they got shot and dodging. I'd say he's at least light speed especially if he scales to zack at all. I appreciate you doing power scaling for ff though, no one else does this.
Why wouldn't it be canon? It happens in the game and there is even mail referencing it.
Zack scales to summons as well, but Zack dies because he was overwhelmed by sheer numbers and exhaustion.
@@KeyIssues It's OPTIONAL in the game. Optional things are not necessarily canon. Like how Sora doesn't know who sephiroth is until KH 2 even though you CAN fight him in KH1 platinum cup. I guess all those soldiers are fucking planetary when they work together.
Optional content in a game doesn't mean it didn't happen in Universe. The mail referencing it is proof enough that it did happen. Also, you're just leaving out the context that allowed Zack to lose and ultiately die in the end.
Even IF you wanna say he doesn't scale to Minerva, he would still scale to Bahamut Fury who can obliterate the moon. Either way, your arguement of "soldiers would be planetary which makes no sense" still doesn't work. Just because you don't like it, doesn't mean it isn't true.
@@KeyIssues I just gave you an example of optional content that CANONICALLY did not occur in another game made by the same company lmao. I'm not leaving out any context, if he can tank a planetary, (or moon if you wanna lowball) explosion he can tank some missiles and bullets. If he has access to FUCKING MINERVA THE GUARDIAN OF THE PLANET he should not be losing to scrubs who rank WAAY lower than him with literally god on his side. Idk wym about this mail and how it is the end all be all definitive proof it occurred, it has never been confirmed anywhere outside of IF you decide to fight minerva.
No one is making the argument that he doesn't scale to bahamut fury, I'm literally saying it makes no sense for him to die to scrub soldiers, unless I guess all of them together could take out minerva, genesis, and all these other powerful enemies zack had to face, sometimes back to back.

I watched this to see why people think comp link loses to cloud and I can conclude that they are wrong. Fierce deity link fought Majora, a being capable of creating and destroying a universe on a whim and beat his ass.

Okay, to be fair, in regards to the "powering a pocket dimension" thing there's a spinoff game called "world of final fantasy" and two main characters lann and rein can also created a pocket and based on what I saw feat wise I personally saw the two of them as EMBARRASSING WEAK. Also, I don't consider descriptions canon, only cutscenes. In fact, there's a wepon in the ffxiii trilogy called excalibur and the description says "it denies evil and returns it to nothingness". If that's true (which I highly doubt) that means lightning (the protagonist of ffxiii) could one shot sepherioth with said excalibur.
Cloud from the remake is stronger, he has the power of friendship.
