This tournament is the worst performance overall by an England manager ever! The squad selection (one LB and he's injured), players out of position (AA and Foden), tactics, first 11, it has been shocking in every way. He cant hide anymore, he is a League 2 manager at best.

Slovakia aren't actually a 'same style of opponent' (just because their name sounds a bit like Slovenia). They usually play a much higher line. Whether they do against England is another question of course.

Brexit was a political choice people were free to make Remain/Leave - you appear disgruntled that other people are allowed other ideas.
The British Empire was magnificent, but so was the early Ottoman, and Mongol Empires, even the Zulu Empire had moments of immense glory. But as with all things, everywhere since the dawn of human endeavour, that which rises, must also fall.
The British sacrificed much of their Empire to stave off National Socialism (Nazism) and I think that is a worthwhile price to pay.
As for England, it is a universal truth that Southgate is not competent, but the FA do not need England to win, to make money. So if your primary goal is profit through sponsorship and not to actually win trophies, then Southgate is your man.

Then with 15mins to go, pick from, Ivan Toney, Eberechi Eze, Jarrod Bowen & Conor Gallagher, to replace whoever's looking tired in the forward pressing positions.

It is not so much the starting line up that is of interest, rather how high we play up the pitch and how quickly we move the ball around. We must play with tempo and move it fast to open Slovakia up. If we don't , regardless of the personnel, I fear we might end up at pens

Surely kane Bellingham and saka should be on the bench aswell, if this is correct we are done.
The thing is for me...if you want to play Saka then play Foden or Palmer in the 10. Someone similar to Odegard to play those passes inside the full back. Bellingham gets on the end of things.
Obviously England isn't playing as a cohesive team, but I'd say the main problems are as follows:
- Some players playing out of their natural/best positions (and Southgate not willing to bench star players to create a good cohesive team)
- England playing a weird formation (why not 3-5-2 with two wing backs?)
- Poor tactics
- Poor passing
- Poor pressing
- Lack of drive, passion, heart and soul
If Southgate fixes all these problems then I think England will perform MUCH better than they have to date.
Saying that England has the 'easy' side of the draw is patronising and insulting to the teams we'll face. So far England looks weak and I don't think Slovakia will be fearing us as things stand.
