I don't know why but I think I understand when she said she's a kind of old news. It looks like... an actress who wait more than 30 years for her 3rd oscar (which she should have from 10,15 years earlier), Every years, AMPAS gave her 1 nomination like as: you're great, all of your movies are good but not the best. Then they gave her an Oscar for Iron lady. All of Meryl's fan cried out 'cause of waitting it for a long time. And after that, she comes back... I feel everybody is saying" She got already 3 Oscars, that's too much". I don't need to see the 4th Oscar for her but I feel bad when everybody begin to consider her nominations as a habit. SHE WORKED HARD FOR THEM!!!! I just want to borrow a Meryl's quote: -”There are some days when I myself think I’m overrated … but not today” ... She knows all :)
Seriously, it's getting ridiculous how Jimmy Kimmel and Ellen DeGeneres always have the same guests :P haha... I adore both of them, but do they have like a secret agreement or something? Like, all guests who sign on to one of their shows is also forced to do the other one's show no matter if they like it or not? xD lol
When Meryl said: "injustices" I couldn't help but wonder, who does she think does NOT deserve to be favourited over the other... Just curious, considering she's the goddess of acting, obviously. To even think of Meryl as being irrelevant or "old news" is one blasphemous thought!
The most real actress I've ever seen, It's no surprise she has all of these awards. With that said, there were some fantastic lead actresses this year that were snubbed and it was a surprise to me that Meryl got nominated for the oscars. Brie Larson, Adele Exarchopolous, Lake Bell and Amy Seimetz were overlooked while Emma Thompson really should have got in there ahead of Sandra Bullock. My 5: Brie Larson, Emma Thompson, Adele Exarchopolous, Cate Blanchett, Judi Dench.
It was so amazing of her to talk about Emma. Specially because, in a way, she got us thinking about the fact that the academy is now giving the youngsters nominations and notoriety and forgeting about the older actors like Tom Hanks, Emma Thompson, Judi Dench... So, so sad.
She's so humble. Meryl you will NEVER be old news. You will forever be relevant and appreciated because you are amazing at what you do!

She can literally play a tree in some random movies and still win an Oscar for best actress. This woman is out of this world.
I think she has the right amount of humbleness but it's not too much as it would seem fake. She seems really happy and she should be..
