Allen Key to unscrew the Coolant plug on the block is "H10" size.

Been running a full 07 K24a2 in my 09 FG2 for ~100k / 5 years 220 WHP 170 WTQ @ like 2k lmao. Just Injen CAI + Q300 Exhaust.. Still has stock header and cat 😂 Breaks Necks everywhere I go super fun.
I'm thinking about doing a k24a swap and did you stick with the rbb manifold or rbc?

K24a2 would most likely be the route for me for my 09 FA5 at 200+k since k20 red top are to got dam high pricey. Don’t care about being the fastest but fast and reliable honda power. 09 FA5 till I die

I have a 2009 Honda Civic Si, just swapped the K24 Block, kept my K20 Head, also plugged the oil jet spray with 10 mm screw. I was getting P2647 error, changed out the VTEC Solenoid assembly, also VTC Solenoid, also changes out the new engine harness. Still the P2647 code, I give up, don't know what the issue is, if anyone can give me some idea or advice i could sure use it right now. TY!

They’re basically the same so use the one with less miles

I have k20k24 frank with 50degree vtc. Why do i have crackling noise for a split second everytime after a cold start?. Please help.
Vtc actuator I believe mine does that also and a lot of other k series guys has that noise also.

It's reliable and more beneficial from the better flowing head.

No you don’t everything should transfer over. The CRV mount is only to accommodate the extra height of the K24 only. K20 will be just a drop in.

Yes you'll need to use your timing chain along with the timing chain cover.

You should be able to I believe the only difference was the coolant passage on the right side of the head if I can remember. Something with the coolant

Use the head gasket for the block that your gonna be using so if you use a tsx block you'll use that
What was max vct you seen when the engine was tuned ?
I ran 50 on a decked head no p2v contact at all.

Full 50 degree on decked head no issues. No locking just degree it through hondata
And I was revving at 8200-8400 also seen 9K+ due to bad tranny.

Yes you need it due to the rear mount

I would do a type s oil pump so your can rev pass 7800 and be safe. I was reving mine to 8200-8400 no issues and your power band needs it. With stock pump theres high chance you will throw a rod in the future or blow your motor if you keep seeing 8k.

How much power did you make with this setup all motor?
I was always Street tuned so I didn't have any numbers but it would've put down around 250-260whp on 91 pump gas. This was a stock block with stage 1 cams.
So, the tsx cams are considered stage 1 cams? Build was very informative, I learned a ton, thanks for sharing your knowledge!

However I couldn't just jerk out a good, running, and stock motor so I gave it hell until it died. That's why I'm on here now........ I dont really have experience on r18 to k swap but just to throw it out there you'll need the harness, motor mounts and the complete motor itself and ECU and headers and exhaust system with it.

With full bolt on you should be in the 230whp-245whp given what type of fuel you're on.
I'm on pump gas 92 and i have access to a k24a JDM block and I have a k20a long block. Keep up the great videos. would it be more worth it to just run the k24 full bolt ons?
Use your complete K20a head and oil pump and everything else I mentioned on this video. That will be a good setup. Just make sure you're running a good set of headers like the Skunk2 alpha and a 3.5" cold air intake and a 3" exhaust to take advantage of the full power of that motor.
