    Hi Brad, just found your channel and this I feel was divine intervention. I'm 52 and in a dead end career needing to better my family's quality of life. I've been wanting to get into the IT space but not sure what I would do. Becoming a Salesforce Administrator would be an ideal fit for me. Never to old to reinvent yourself 😎

    Hi Brad. Thanks for the video. You just changed my mindset for dealing with our current situation. I have 1 year Admin experience and completed a Lightning transition for my former company. In addition I’ve used it for years as an end user. From what you’ve seen would my experience suffice to start your program.

    He is speaking the truth team.. and also, if you have a committed job with an org that is worth a darn, then you can do this. So many folks in the Ohana (unfortunately) only smashed through the trails/modules and got a “nice” practice exam.. but they don’t work in SF within an org from 8-5. Those that do have the advantage. We have the knowledge of the trails AND the org implementation. We are the consultants orgs need! Take this seriously, and those that understand what I just outlined, will be valuable and successful. Please do not try to be this system.. there are many of us that can identify a “module mogul” as I call it lol. Learn the basics, apply them, implement them, develop direction with stake holders, then you will represent the Ohana correctly. We need to separate ourselves from the trailhead alone beneficiaries and maintain the true scope of what stake holders should expect in a knowledgeable SF professional. Learn it, live it, apply it, test it, update it, config it, retest it, and deploy with confidence.

      I just wanted to say thank you and that I really appreciate this comment. It's hard to tell people the difference between being quality and just doing the bare minimum to be employed or pass a test. We need to be true professionals, business advisors, project managers and all while caring about the work we do and relationships we build along the way.

    Hi Brad , It's a great video to watch, you briefed about the how-to project our capacity to the client and overview of operational activities in a projects. BUT the challenging part freelance business is sales or branding us to generating lead and converting to account(Client) . Do you're course covers how to brand to generate the lead for salesforce project?

    • @SalesforceForEveryone
      @SalesforceForEveryone  Před 4 lety +1

      Yeah take a look at the link in the video description and you will get a chance to see the first curriculum. We currently have four strategies for sourcing clients and I've recently become aware of a fifth strategy that could be valuable but I first need to vet it myself and make sure that it is a consistent client source. In the course I also talk a lot about long-term clients, I'm a big fan of finding four or five clients and keeping them for a lifetime. It's not always easy but when you can develop those relationships and come up with a mutual benefit you can create a situation where you only have to find clients every two or three years.

    Not so fast...you will be competing with geographies where $100 is lot of money. Another thing is you might be only working 20 hours of Salesforce consultant work per week, but in order to grab a deal you have to spent countless hours in networking, attending sessions, tech seminars, lead generating and keeping up with releases. I work as a consultant for a company and make over $115K but only thing which is keeping me not to go for freelancing is the groundwork to establish a repo is pretty lengthy road.

    • @SalesforceForEveryone
      @SalesforceForEveryone  Před rokem +1

      It's not nearly that complex unless you want to really grow to a firm. If you're looking to get by for you and a small team even you can get a handful of quality clients that love you, charge them less thank market rate and keep them for life. I had 2 clients stick with me for 5 years until I had to let them go due to retiring out of consulting.
      Now don't get me wrong it does take some ground work to get those first 3-4 clients but coming from a consulting background I'll bet you already know some companies, past employers or clients etc who are not in competition with your employer but might be interested in your services. However they don't really want to work with someone overseas and are comfortable with your consultancy rates at roughly $$200/hour and you can charge $120 an hour and they'll love you forever.
      You do need to keep up with current features but that's the same with employment anywhere if you care about your career longevity.
      Some work will go overseas, some work will go to the most elite top talents in the world, but there is still an incredible amount of work for you as an individual. You know people do this successfully all the time and it's how many consultancies get their start as something small then suddenly become something not so small.
      No matter what you decide to do I wish you the best of luck and funny thing this course isn't for sell anymore so I'm not trying to convince you just sharing my experience 🙏

    That’s not how it works. Lawyers name both the LLC and the individual in suit and leave it up to the individual to defend themselves. As you say .. you’ve never been sued, so since you don’t know, stop acting as if you do.
