Raju Ashokanji, I can't convey my gratitude enough to you for this very Alhaiya Bilawal. I learnt this vilambit bandish from my Guruji GuruSri Nihar Ranjan Banerjee. Unfortunately, I forgot the antara totally. But as I'm compelled to move to another Guruji due to relocating to another place, I was in a bad fix. Now I've been able to recover the total bandish. Thank you a thousand times.
dr raju, dv z my first choice among d classical singers n kl s being d one otherwise ! in baroda i used to move on a bicycle. just as d voice of kls z song or dvz bhajan was heard at a panwala, d cycle would be braked ... automatically ! only on completion o d song could i move ahead !
Rajuji, it is indeed a great service you are doing to discerning listeners by uploading such gems from a truly great performer of his times. Pity that he passed away young robbing all of us more such gems.
Totally agree. His rendition here and his Goud Malhar rendition are deeply meditative and truly divine. After listening to them and his other renditions like Todi, two of his Meera Bhajans, Payo ji Maine and Chalo man Ganga Jamuna, etc, I am often left wondering what he would have achieved and where he would stood in the firmament of Hindustani Music stalwarts, if he had lived long and not had such an untimely death. My pranams to this great artist.

dr raju asokan, again by chance only i saw ur full name. as it is i don't enjoy carnatic music much, except veena or other stroke instruments. i like d orchestras by ramani, rao n sastry.

He is likely to be Pt. Ramnarayan though I am not sure. I think they were associated together. They also went on China tour together.
