Twists are also my favorite protective hairstyles. Here's a tip: if you want them to be extra bouncy and shiny, add a little ecostyler and/or supergro gel after the moisturizer and use a defining brush. Then your twists will be springy and lustrous like curls, and your twist out will look more natural too.

I do a middle part too with my twists. I used to do side parts a lot but I feel like my hair doesn't work like that anymore if that makes sense 😅😂 I'm trying this new routine where I wash my hair every 3 days. My hair will hopefully grow even more if I start a consistent routine using the same products I have.

@@precious7604 Lmaoooo I work from home so it's easier for me to deep condition. I do chunkier twists so it's easier for me to take them out and start over. If I do tinier twists, I keep them in for about 2-3 weeks. It's an arm workout but it's not that bad.

Question: when I do twists, and my curl pattern is around 3c and similar to yours but lower density (I'm 41 and it isn't what it was 15 years ago, alas), I find that they unravel. Then I try to coil the strands in the opposite direction and twist, but though that gets them to stay, sometimes I get tangles. Any advice on how to get twisting technique consistent?

I have fine 3b/3c hair but it’s dense. So I have a literal sh*t ton of tiny/thin individual hairs. It’s kinda misleading because it seems like my hair is thick. But I can’t treat it like that or I get lots of breakage 🤦‍♀️
