It's been a while now since the Country music world lost Daryle Singletary and he's truly missed by those of us that love real country music ! But we can be thankful for this fact , If Daryl Singletary was one of Mo Pitney's inspirations then we can all rest assured that along with Daryle's music and many other covers and originals. We have been gifted another great singer/songwriter in Mo Pitney !
My age (62) will tell you that I have been a huge C&W fan for many years. Mr. Pitney, your tribute has done much for Dayle's memory. I am all sure that you will get noticed soon for your special skills and talent. As a Marine for 21 years I salute you young man, don't stop what you are doing. God Bless the Singletary family, their pain goes deep. Rest in Peace Daryle and thank you for your great music.
You just brought me to tears....can't believe it's been over a year already.... come to az.... Praying for the sweet singletary family ...Can you imagine how beautiful all the singing is right now in heaven... Joey, waylon, merle, daryle.... and so many more ..... Heaven is surely worth it all .... God Bless you for keeping real country music alive MO.... please come to sunny AZ....
A lot of regular folks like me thank you for following your heart to true country music. I'm sure Daryle would thank you too. Hope to be seeing you this weekend at Southbound in Springfield, Mo. May not be a huge crowd, but we truly appreciate artists like you and the music you keep alive...
A humble man, it is refreshing to hear a young man place God where He belongs as our Lord and Master!!!! Mo you are blessed with a talent given from God!!!
Daryle was truly one of the greats. You also Mo, will be one of the greats. Please keep the classic country music playing. Today’s country isn’t the same. Buy the way, I love you’re new CD.
Phil...we Nashville dudes know the real thing....you can't get a better tribute to Daryle than a man like Mo....sorry for your loss brother. Take care.
Phil, I noticed what a great bass player you are! I hope you are still playing. We will all miss Daryle, like we miss the other great country singers. And Daryle was one of the very, very best!
Wish us non-talented music lovers could have been in your shoes! Phil, I would have given anything to say Daryle was my buddy. Please let his family know a million of us non-talented are crying... Still four years later.
I’m 22 , turning 23 nov 5 and I’m so glad and honoured my parents grew me up on a whole arrangement of music and never discouraged me from listening and finding my own music. I love this song from the bottom of my heart and it carries a lot of weight in my family
God can and does change things every single day. Most of the time it’s right in front of us and we don’t even realize it. Amazing cover, Daryle would be proud.
Daryle Singletary gone but not forgotten ....... Greetings from Dublin Ireland brother and sisters we know quality when we hear it Daryle was pure country class.... Ar dheis Dè go raibh a hAnam dìlis
We lost a huge cornerstone with the passing of Daryle - your thoughtful humility is a beacon to many who respect your efforts - thank you. May you and your family be blessed with peace and love - and the safety of His will.
Thank you MO! You have a great future in country music. I'm sorry for the loss of your friend. Yes prayer does work and I'm sure the lord will comfort Daryle's family in this time of grief.
That was a wonderful tribute to Daryle, Mo. You have a wonderful voice. You are one of the new beacons in real Country music that the younger generation of Country music lovers can look up to as well as us much older folks. Don't change...keep it real.
Mo amazing tribute. I truly believe many years from now when the good Lord calls you home CZcams will be filled with the same tributes of you influencing the future generations of traditional country artists. You young man are country music.
Dude, what you don’t realize is your that voice now. You have the ability as a young guy to spread country music like the lord spread the gospel! Let’s don’t let country end like a tragedy. I’m going to see Rhonda Vincent Tonight for the first time since Daryl’s passing, her an Daryle were like siblings, what people don’t know, for many years they sang together. Not just the latest album they recorded. She’s distraught as well. He will be missed tremendously by the community we call country music! Great job Mo, as usual! Carry on the tradition with your angel of a sister. She has the voice of an angel as well! I was raised by a steel guitar man as well. I know where your heart is my man! Keep it pure and keep it real! Thanks for the rendition! A great song! You done it more than justice!
Daryle was one of my all time favorites from the first time I heard him sing. Mo, you are a class act. What a heart felt tribute. Rest in peace Daryle. God's peace and comfort to your family.
Thank you for this amazing and absolutely honest and heartfelt tribute to your friend Daryle. Young man, you may not know it, but you have brought many people back to listening to real country music. I'm one of them. God Bless you, Mo, and may He continue to light your path. You are a blessing to so many of us listening out here...
A stunning heartfelt tribute to his musical mentor from a young artist with a voice that gives me chills I haven't felt since listening to Keith Whitley.
Thank you, Mo. I think Daryle Singletary exposed many of us to songs we might not have otherwise heard, or maybe not cared for in the original rendition. For me, it was "Old Violin." I don't know how or why I acquired his album, "That's Why I Sing This Way," so many years ago, but I am so glad I did. Thankful he shared his gift with the rest of us who can't hit those notes.
You are correct...one of the greatest country songs, sang by one of the greatest country singers....Daryl Singletary. Still can't believe he is gone. The Note was one of my favorites.
Thank you Mo. Daryle had such a love for real country music, and worked hard to keep it alive. I love the song choice for your tribute. Such a great song. Daryle would be pleased. With Daryle gone now, I hope you will carry the torch to keep country music alive in the traditional sounds that have made it America's truest music. I don't think you could have chosen a better song as a tribute, much in the same way that Daryle chose songs to honor country legends. My dad was a traditional singer and musician, and he would have been proud of your choice too. Thanks again! May God bless you.
After the last 2 years I think of all of his music that he made and he was fantastic. Thank you Lord for the years he did live. And his wonderful music.
I have my 14 year old listening to you. He has always had a high voice and naturally sings harmony (our entire family are musicians/singers) and his voice is changing...he's been upset and thinks "he can't sing anymore." He plays bass, piano, sax, clarinet, drums...and his Daddy is with the Mercy Mountain Boys...plays piano, drums, bass, guitar and sings. Thank you for encouraging the next generation! #whosegonnafilltheirshoes
