So exciting to try my first ever EDF jet - the E-flite Habu STS 70mm EDF Smart Jet RTF with SAFE. The "ready-to-fly" version comes with absolutely everything you need to get up in the air, including a trainer version of the RealFlight simulator (where you can fly this actual model!). Typically EDF jets are reserved for the more experienced pilot, but Horizon Hobby designed this with the beginner pilot in mind. With 3 flight modes (beginner, intermediate, experienced) and a very gentle glideslope, this will make a great model to progress your EDF flying skills on!

You left one thing out that I like about this plane is you can hand launch it in beginner mode and you have plenty of time to grab the control even with a bad throw !

I worked up to maiden my PT-17 biplane and a Saber 3D plane recently. Nothing to be afraid of...they all fly like planes.

Just watched Grandpa Gary fly his new biplane and he looked like he was flying a kite too. Missed out on trying my Mini Apprentice last week Sunday - there was no to very little wind. Was getting firewood with Dad.

How I wish you had a runway that looked like a runway and not a potatofield :-), you get bush pilot training by taking off from this one! Mmm, maybe I should organize a crowd-founding among your soon to be 65K members, so we can find a company that can lay a fine-granuled tarmac on your runway, that would be a nice surprise for you and your airplanes! Just some positive encouragement: Believe in yourself that you can get out of SAFE mode! I'm new to RC planes as of a few weeks ago, flying a Carbon Cub S2. I've been pushing myself to rely less and less on SAFE assistance. Yesterday I managed to fly a holding pattern for about 90 seconds in expert mode while doing a loop at every pass. I was nervous as hell, but it went great! Just get up to a very safe elevation and try it out. You can do it!

It's not the prettiest thing to look at but I love this EDF jet. It was my first edf as well. I still fly it all the time. I actually switched the big wheels with a set of twin otter Wheels as they are much smaller and look a whole lot better and still handle grass-opps no problem.
You need glasses she's a nice girl I would rather have her than the plane or I'm being greedy I would take both

Hey Girl, I just came up with the perfect roll out runway. Take a strip of outdoor carpet as long and wide as you need and turn it upside down.🤔😎👍

Yeah it's a great option for a first jet! I'd say it's the mini apprentice of jets - super forgiving, great to learn on and grow with!
