Whoooohoooo! Started 2 weeks ago after watching your videos. Rain, snow, sun I had it all, but I love this as an outdoor routine. Coming from a cancerjourney, this really helps me on my way to a life after cancer. Thank you guys! 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼
1 year later how are you doing with the routine?
Yes how are you?? I just started today🖤
Hope you're doing well man
10 rotations forward/backward
10 presses in/out
10 wrist pronated extensions
30s reverse wrist extension
30s feet kneeling stretch
30s heel walks
30s jumping jacks
15 bw squats
30s boxer skips
Thank you
I completed 5k skips today. It took around 45 mins(including the breaks).
It's funny, how I started with 100 skips and never thought I would be able to reach this far.
This small achievements give immense happiness.
Next milestone:- 5k under 30 mins.
Thanks for guiding always.
Keep motivating, keep inspiring.👍
Proud of you dude!
I am so out of shape that the warm ups are tiring.
So its going to be just warm ups for a couple of days for me.
But its at least better than nothing.
100%! We all started there. Consistency and it’s go time 🔥
Thanks to Jump Rope Dudes for guiding me through my jumping rope journey. Seeing development in my body by jumping rope for 2 weeks after getting injured because I overworked myself when I first tried it. Now, I do it every other day, and also in calorie deficit. I'm also increasing my intensity each week.
So happy to hear you're seeing the results dude!! Keep doing the thing!
This video really motivated me to get started. I am 17 years old, my weight is 96 kg (211lb) and my height is around 166cm (5'4). But sometimes I'm so afraid of not getting any result from the jump rope that I do.
Any results?
You are guaranteed to get no results from doing nothing . Get after it and be consistent you got this
As long as you keep doing it, you will get results. No way can a body do this kind of workout consistently and have nothing to show for it. I'm just starting, not to lose weight, but to fend off a sedentary lifestyle. Even if all I get is the endorphins from exercise, my face will show more happiness.
Do the thing.
Thank you so much for the work you guys do. Jumping rope has changed my life. I have been jumping rope consistently since the beginning of the year at first I did 5 times a week using the 30 min workouts. It was no surprise I my legs gave in about 2 weeks in. I had extreme shin splits, I took a break for a day or 2 and came back to do 3 times a week. I still felt pain but endured until I got into it again. This week I started using a heavy rope, it's about 2.5 lbs and boy oh boy my arms were on fire. It's the challenge I need because I was getting too comfortable with regular rope.
Started five days ago ... a little frustrated by how many stops I have, but I am hopeful that your rope length guide will help, I was over a foot too long.
Thanks for this video. I’m a beginner and overweight. I’m going my own pace and getting better day by day.
Love this ..thank you so much for your jump rope tips coach ..wanna try this today..keep up the goodwork👏👏
Just did my first day of the 10 min beginners workout you guys made a while back. It was great and I am looking forward to more!💪
Nice!! Way to do the thing!
Perfect. Thanks for this birthday gift. ☺
I've just begun doing the thing about 2 months ago (never tried, even in childhood), but with a bad rope.
Now I got a decent one, and I'm starting to have fun with your instructions! Thank you!
Nice!! Happy Birthday dude!
I am 73 years old and waiting for my jump ropes and mat to come in, I usually rebound and could only do 90 seconds when I first started. I now do 10 minutes twice a day on the rebounder. I hope I can do this, pray for me 😂😂😂. I have not been rebounding lately because I has some problems with re injury of my shoulder. So going to start again after the first.
yes! let's go!!!
I started jumping rope with shoes off, and its helping me to go for 150-200 jumps without getting tangled, where as with shoes I average out at around 50-60 jumps before getting tangled
Hi guys! Just starting my jump rope journey. When Brandon says we should start out without a rope, how long should that be for? The first day or first week or more? Your videos are very motivating! Keep doing the thing!
I always hate workout but I start my lose weight journey and jump rope gonna be my key. I remember my childhood fun and working hard for that skill.
Loved the video!!!!!!! Thank you very much 😊
Loved your interpretation of being frustrated. Made me laugh 😂
Thanks very much coach jump fam from Philippines💪🏾💯🇵🇭

I started jump roping last week and it is so much fun that I really want to get into it.
awesome and welcome!
I had a baby 10 months ago and only now feel like i have the motivation and energy to get back into shape. I bought a skipping rope today so im so glad i watched this video because i totally would have done the double jumping! 😅
You got this!
very good
Started TODAY!!! Will keep you updated and me accountable… 6/19/23… 🖤
Let's go!
I’ve noticed that I do a double jump, as a complete beginner and going pretty slow is it best to start of slow and time it so I’m doing one slower jump or try to get the rope going fast enough so There’s no time to double jump
Hi, Brandon. And GOOD MONDAY MORNING!! Thanks for another great tip. You guys are totally the best. Have a great rest of the day. 🙂👍❤💯
Good morning Frank! Hope you have an amazing day!
Night here
@@JumpRopeDudes thank you Brandon. To you as well.🙂👍💯

This makes me so happy to read. Thank you for the ❤️ and support! keep doing the thing!
Cool video
Just ordered my first crossrope! I've been using a high-end rope, but I'm tired of the PVC coated metal cable tangling and tripping me up when trying to do tricks. I can't wait to try these!
Did you get them yet? If so, how are they?
@@strixt I'm mixed on them. The quality and material is great. It never gets tangled up when doing cross-overs and stuff like my other one does. I'm mostly unhappy with the lengths and inability to make any sort of micro adjustments (for example cutting the cable to the correct length like most others can do). I got the length recommended for my height which was WAY too long to jump well with. I traded it in for one size smaller, which is workable but still not quite right. For the price of these things they really need to work in a way to adjust the length for a more accurate fit. It's a shame they don't because it's a great rope otherwise.
@@lonewolf1979gmail Awesome, thank you for replying!
Sadly, that's been my biggest hesitation in getting the crossrope. I'm right at 6'2 so they say I should do the XL, but the 9' I have right now is only *slightly* short, definitely not 6" too short. My current one is definitely usable, so I guess I'll stick with it until I can find something else.
Thank you again for the reply, I really appreciate it!
Thanks for this video, newbie here trying to cut some calories.. hoping for positive results.. 🙏🙏
You got this Camela!
Hi,I am 68 years old.I love to jump rope.I did it before many years and now I want to do it again.I started to do what you suggest and after practice them I jump better and easily.I will continue to follow your videos.Thanks.👍
Great job, keep doing the thing! 💪🏻
wohoo this video was dropped on my birthday
haaaaaaappy birthday!!!!

Just bought a rope today. Starting tomorrow. Wish me luck!
you go this! LETS GO 🔥
Great video. been going a couple weeks and I've started getting some inner knee pain right below the joint line. It's not crazy bad. But from what I can see it may be pes ansurine bursitis. Any tips or anyone that may have experienced this?
The best and only advice is to rest up until you're back to 100%!
I'm the one tossing the ropes and swearing 🤣🤣🤣🤣
I don't live in usa. In my country no sports shops know about any underlay to ship on. I shall have to find my own solution, and ask you what to look for. I see you skip on a round and thick underlay. What is it made of? Is it for skipping?
Its my first time jump roping My feet are bleeding Because the only shoes I have are combat boots so I did it barefoot in my driveway The rope i'm using is like plastic wire so i Is whipped my feet a bunch but I did managed to get 25 jumps in Without whipping myself.
Hi, thanks for you great video, I want to ask about METs, I tried to find Mets for different skipping speeds but for 120-160 skips is regard as the same in most websites I found, cuz I skip at a pace of around 180/min for an hour so I wanna ask is there anyway to have a more ccurate estimation on the calories I burn for my work out?
Calorie burn varies so much from one person to the next (height, weight, heart rate, rope type, etc). Bring the intensity, and a high calorie burn will follow! We do love the whoop to track our calories burned!
omg I laughed hard at the "frustrated" part 😂😂
🤣
I love how the frustration depicts exactly how I get frustrated inside my mind.
haaha.... it's all good. keep going, you got this!
My gym buddy sent me a 1lb jumprope for Christmas and did my first workout with it today. Excited to work this into my cardio day!!! Love your videos.
yeeees! what a good friend. let's gooo!
Love ❤️ from India
Appreciate you!
What’s the ideal number of jumps/minutes for beginners to avoid injury when starting?
Hi guys!!! Any idea why I have ribcage pain right underneath the breasts and upper left back pain?? I started jumping rope yesterday... No leg knee nor shin pain, but can't understand why my ribcage and upper back hurts. Thanks!
What kind of knee pads are those & what’s the purpose?
hello there, how much minutes i should add every week until i get until 30 min straight?
Haha 4:25 is me!
Is jumping rope good for diastasis recti?
What is that round platform thing (floor mat) you're jumping on? Looks perfect for avoiding injury...
it's a mat! Check em out at www.crossrope.com/jrd (And yes, they are great for your feet and ropes!)
Hi i'm new Jumping rope barefoot is good idea? or do i need a special type of shoes?
What a great video! I seem to have days when it goes okay then the next it's like spaghetti round my feet. I'm very much at the FRUSTRATED!! phase. 🤬🤬👍
They have a why you trip up video!
@4:24 lmao
Bro if I have hold the rope instead of handle bar does it mean there to big it makes me flow better then holding the bars
Brandon, what shoes are you wearing in the video? What type of sneakers do you and Dan prefer for jumping rope?
That was my question too. I was scrolling through the comments to see if the answer was there.

I struggle to jump for a long amount of time and it's so annoying. I could do a minute if I'm lucky. I'll take these tips on board.
(posted this also on another of your vids, just in case). Love your channel; very helpful. Question: I’m a bit past a beginner…not much, but I keep at it. I’m having a problem with the achilles tendon on my left leg. It gets strained by jumping rope (nothing else), and can become painful, which is discouraging. I stretch it for about 20 minutes before jumping, slow methodical stretches, but there’s still an irritation issue. I don’t want to give up jumping because of it. Any advice? thanks so much for your channel! regards;…
You have an imbalance somewhere. You gotta find out what's going on. More mobility and do some youtube searching. Get with a doctor if you need serious help.
That is me at 4:25....gonna try again though..not quitting any time soon
No quitting. Keep doing the thing brother!
Hahahaha I stopped at Step 5 and after this video, I’m gonna give it another try!
well done, practice makes progress
When he threw a tantrum 😂
Damn you make it look so easy! I guess it shows how out of shape I am since I get out of breathe after just 30 seconds. I also keep loosing my rhythm and getting the rope tangled on me :/
it's okay. a super cheap rope can make it tough and jump rope is difficult! do some 15 on, 15 off intervals and you'll get in shape in no time !
Any tips on the symmetry aspect? My left arm sticks out more because of an old shoulder injury. Thanks For all the help
Would it be better to just do the jumps? As in without the rope?
Because I just can't jump the rope more than once without stepping on the rope and nothing is really working. I imagine the difference is just the rope? I would still be doing the jumps.
🤔
Hey Jump Rope Dudes, got a question. Is eating non large meals 3 times a day a good enough for weight and calories deficit? And There are no snacks involved, just breakfast, lunch and dinner.
As long as you're within your macros, you're good!
Doesn't help me. I see you guys swing it aise to side to get the move started. I cant find where to learn this and dont always get it off the ground from behind me stationary on the ground. I want to get the initial move started. How?
Dont get frustrated was the best tip 😂
so tough right?
Please answer me honestly. Is jumping weighted rope backwards bad for ur shoulders? Or does it build strength that way too?
They also have a video on this on their channel just search it.
I suffer from extreme calf stiffness but i love jumping rope, any advice?
roll em out. see a PT!
I just did some jumping rope and I did jump like a dolphin. I won't do it anymore haha
Keep at it, don't give up. Focus on pointing those toes down!
I started jumping coupe days ago, first two days no much soreness. But the third day i made a dumb mistake, my son wanted me to show him how to jump rope and didnt put my shoes, jumped bare foot like 8-10 jump just to show him, an hour later my 2 ankles started aching and y right knee started hurting. Now every time i move my knee hurt in the back of the knee and in the front if put my hand to feel the movement i feel like click sound. I putting cold treatment and and later a bit of warm pad. Its a bit better, but when i try to go down in a stair it hurts, but not going up. Any advise to heal faster or something like that?
Rest rest rest! Feel better!
Hi I struggle with sore knees and have a slight scoliosis of the lower spine. I have started my menopause and the weight has crept on. I am 5ft 10 tall and weigh approx 12 stone 😢 I want to start skipping and have watched all your beginner videos. Would you recommend this type of exercise? I am generally fit and have an active life. I work at school all day and have 3 dogs I exercise regularly. I eat healthily etc is skipping okay to do? Thank you 😊
I hope so! Check with your doc because of your scoliosis, and you'll have to start slow. 3-5 minutes at a time, add it to your workout. Once your body adapts you can add more time. patience and practice, you got this! do the thing! 💪🏻
Should I be doing this 7 day challenge before I've even gotten my form down? I'm starting at absolute zero, still tripping, etc and found these side to side, run in place, hop back and forth and the others kind of complicated because my mind is still focusing on trying to just get a simple skip down as well as the length of time because I get gassed? Also, I watched a different video (not sure which one though) where it was said to do a 20sec on-10sec break, 20sec on-10sec break up to five minutes. Where can I find that one to start with that I can follow along with? I did solve my double jump/skip by going faster so the rope came around in time to only do a simple hop.
Here ya go, keep doing the thing! czcams.com/video/MQNKBBUvkrk/video.html
what about the type of shoes we need
I dont know where im going wrong but i cant use only my wrists, i end up using my arm too and i cant stop it

At this point in my life im so overweight that even half the warm up is a full exercise for me and it makes me kinda sad. I dont even know where to start. For those people who havent go gym or physical active will need weight rope. Otherwise, speed rope will be alright as u adopt to it other than changing from weight then moving to speed rope makes it more challenging. Just my opinion.
We agree, starting with a weighted rope really helps!
I m biginner I tried skipping after worm up.. 3 days I m jumping only 30 counts.. But problem is that, now my right feet toes is swollen! 😒😱what I have to do.. Please guide me sir
Man I'm little bit sick haven't done any workouts for 2 days
Rest up dude! Hope you feel better soon!
@@JumpRopeDudes Thanks dudes 😊
How do I stop my rope from twisting around itself? I notice after a few swings I have to let go of one to unravel the cord
What kind of rope do you have, my friend? It sounds like you might need a rope upgrade if they're getting that tangled.
Hi.. will jump rope cause hurt or worsen De Quervain's tenosynovitis?Cause after nearly 3 years (short 1 month ) it won't go away.
Will it hurt knees too? My knees are crunchy.. too much hard wear and tear on them..
P.S Don't work as a cleaner.... it is not worth ruining your body...
Unfortunately, I can't answer your question, you'll have to get checked out by a doctor to make sure its safe for you to jump rope. If your knees are crunchy, wear supportive shoes and jump on a mat so that you can protect your joints. Hope this helps 🙏🏽
Brandon looks a lot more muscular than before. Need that new workout routine 👀
Just using those weighted ropes from crossrope.com/jrd!!
bro whats that shoe? looks sick!
