01:26 Bring in Your Arms
2:00 Elbows back, Hands at the hips. Circle from the wrists.
2:50 take-off and land on the balls of the feet. Avoid folding knees forward or inward. Avoid bending at the hips.
03:55 Exercises : calf raises (calves), squats(thighs), toe taps(shins), jumps from higher position(light landing)
04:18 Relax muscles, Jump only a few inches, loose shins, neutral head position.
It's hilarious when you go back to the fundamentals only to learn you're making every single one of these mistakes. Thanks for the refresher!

I began skipping rope in December 2021
Because before I was unemployed so I was going to the gym a lot and I was going out for long distance running 🏃 I used to be a runner 🏃
I didn’t have any struggles with skipping rope at all I’ve never made any mistakes ❤
And I think the reason for that was because my body was already physically conditioned
I was training since I was 16 years old
Now I am 24 years old and I am an advanced jump roper

Thank you! I just bought my first rope (beaded) and am trying to adjust the length. Your videos have been helpful! I was following another channel and it was way too long. I am older and out of shape but loved jump roping as a kid. So, I will take it slow and also use the exercises you recommended to prepare my body for jumping again.
