I Spent 24 Hours in an ELEPHANT SANCTUARY In Thailand (amazing experience) 🇹🇭

- This was one of the best experiences of my life! I love elephants and being able to visit an Elephant Sanctuary in Thailand was definitely a bucket list item!
We visited Chai Lai Orchid, an amazing Elephant Sanctuary in the Mae Wang area just outside of Chiang Mai, Thailand.
The sanctuary had cute bamboo bungalows that we stayed overnight in with no windows - completely in the open air.
This was the first of two days at Chai Lai Orchid Elephant Sanctuary, and today we had a welcome from the Elephants, lunch at the sanctuary, and enjoyed hanging out with all of the elephants at happy hour, looking out over the mountain ranges of Mae Rim, and sleeping in a mosquito net.
It was such a cool experience… but stay tuned for day two in tomorrows video, where we play with elephants, wash elephants, and swim with the elephants after trekking through the jungle with a local Karen hill tribe guide, who shows us his village and family - once in a life time stuff!

can’t wait to experience this. We made a reservation too but in August, I just feel how magical it would be to walk, touch, and feed those gentle giants. Looking forward also for our jungle adventure with them. Im always amazed how those elephants stay with them❤️

You’ll love it I’m so excited for you to experience it! It really touched my heart haha, very special trip to me I’ve never seen elephants before like that 😂 Michael booked it as a surprise for me but he said he booked it through Chai Lai itself, and you can get rooms down by the river but he didn’t chose the river ones. These were the other option.. if that makes sense. Whichever ones aren’t on the riverside 😂 Hope that helps! 😂

In Australia we don't have places like these to be able to touch and be that close to them. So it is very exciting to see this 😍
Rosemarie is right we don't see elephants like this in Australia, the closest you can get is a zoo and you still don't really touch them or go close enough to touch them. It's amazing that they are just in the mountains here, it's something we would never ever see at home! It's beautiful
