  • Since day 1, Evolve boards have been the pursuit of the endless carve. Of course, a lot of factors come into play, but one constant that has been present on every single Evolve board has been the double kingpin SuperCarve trucks. Why do we think these are the ultimate style of truck for an electric skateboard?

I adore the trucks on my evolve board. Just KEEP THEM CLEAN! If not they'll get hella squaky. Lithium grease is best but inna pinch a few slivers of a bar of soap into your pivot cups will do the trick.

Got a GTR and I love it. My eyes fell on this video while looking for a new board due to all break lock the horror stories. While watching this amazing and innovative carving machine, I keep thinking its such a shame that such a wonderful product gets ruined by electronics. Safety is crucial tho

How do you know which to adjust?? Do you do both at the same time? Top first? Bottom first?

    • @evolveSkateboards

You can adjust both as evenly as possible, does not matter what order you do it in 😊

Evolve makes their products sound so advanced and çutting edge meanwhile 50 other companies have all been using double kingpins without overselling them. I don't like slick marketing. And your prices... Don't get me started.

  • @psychoticdaizyproductions569

I will say, single kingpins handle bumps better. Let, sudden pumps not progressive bumps.

Lies!!! Double king pins suck. Wheres the stability at speed!! Sure I can go in a fucking circle and take a sidewalk line but how am I gonna sit in the bike lane at thirty miles an hour when if I flinch slightly I get carved into the car lane

Thanks! This is the confirmation I was looking for - I commute in a straight line 30mph in traffic 14 miles, so looking for the Most Stable high speed trucks. Ideally we can all have 2 boards, carver and commuter

Thanks, Any suggestion for the most stable single pin for high speed straight-line commuting?

    • @danielmullaney2069
      @danielmullaney2069 Před 2 lety

@@roycoleman4267 I would say honestly reverse king pin as the style. As far as brand ...
Calibers make a solid, consistent, cheaper cast iron truck. They are compatible with at least the motors and wheels on one of my boards...
Any "precision reverse king-pin truck" is going to be more precise and more stable. Also about three hundred bucks more than a typical cast truck ..but I have no idea what the compatibility is with motor mounts and stuff .!
One can buy different angled base plates which can create custom and more stable geometry. Cheaper option is buying wedges in order to experiment. Lower degree trucks turn less and 'track' better. So the idea would be higher degree up front with a lower degree in back creating stability in the back and turn-ability up front.
I ride symmetrical 44 degrees calibers on one e-board and my downhill longboard. . Other downhill guys that are more racing type put like 35 in back I think. Don't know if that trend is in the e board world yet . ..
My all terrain e-board has double king pins but I cranked the board side kingpin so tight it doesn't move. I get the clearance with a little bit extra turn but stable at speed.

the best trucks for electric skateboards will never be double kingpins, they are electric for speed not for carving, for carving you just get softer bushings.
