Wassup Zach love your videos man just got thru practicing my piano even though it’s late but the desire to do music is in me now I wanna learn how to read sheet music so keep up the videos
I love how this can transfer over to any skill. Cooking, sports, college,
Exactly!! That's one of my favorite parts about piano - you can apply so many of the skills to learning other things in life
This is SO helpful Zach. You've gone to such a lot of trouble with all the cheat sheets etc. You are a great teacher. I'm so glad I signed up for one of your courses and am part of your piano community. 😊
This is FANTASTIC! I'm so glad that I found this! This makes total sense and I'm so excited to start! Thank you so much for putting this on for free!
It makes it very hard because it’s long but it’s very helpful. Actually one of the most helpful videos for reading notes fast
As a designer of interactive language-learning materiales, I absolutely agree that this method is going to work if you follow all the steps. Great work!
This is exactly what I was looking for. Great tools and system. Thanks so much for this.
Just awesome planning to teach this complicated notations Mr. Zach, great job, it works. Thank you again.
Thanks Zach, this is really helpful. Due to my age, I have chosen to go down the Jazz Improvization path, based on a solid understanding of Music theory. But I am beginning to think I should take reading sheet music more seriously, even if I still prefer playing spontaneously rather than repeating what someone else played 500 years ago.
I love your channel. Keep it coming.
Thanks!! Yea, for Jazz definitely prioritize music theory and reading chords, it's much more helpful than reading notes. But it's a good skill to have if you have time in your practice routine to work on it. Thanks so much for the kind words
Always wanted to learn this sheet thing and notations, this small videos seems promising and It was really helpful. And as always, cheat sheets rocks 👍😁
Glad you liked it Subhash!! Yea I've found the cheat sheets are nice to put everything right there for ya, and that way you don't have to keep re-watching a bunch of times if you forget something
Thank you very much, now i know how to practice sight reading better than ever. really appreciate it.

Thanks Zach...you make this learning easy!
Awesome Annette. Glad you liked the video! 🎹
This is the best ever! Thank you for your help and clarification.
Am sure you put in a lot of efforts in the cheat sheet. this is incredible work sir. thanks

Glad you liked it Ellie :)
This is BRILLIANT. Thanks buckets!!! I've learned 5 languages and I really appreciate the value of small increments of repeated data to "cement" what you've learned over a period of time.
TOP STUFF!!! 😀
so glad you're having success with it, thanks so much for the kind words :)
SUPER THANK YOU
Thanks this is useful it teaches me the basics of piano
I thank you so much. It is so helpful
Thank you so much! This is awesome 👍🏽
You're welcome!
Thank you for this , I think something else that’s important is to not just know the notes on a sheet but also to know where they’re found on the piano and be able to do this quickly.
Thank you again!!
Thank youu, you are the best teacher ever!!
Thanks Myriam. Glad you enjoyed the lesson! 🎹
You're the man Zach
Making it easy for me to understand so thank u
I'm one of your students, and I love that you send me emails! I end up on CZcams alot more often than going to my dashboard, but that's ok, right? I love your style, you genius wizard, you!
That's fine! As long as you're learning and practicing consistently that's really what matters
I'm so amazed. 🥺😁
Glad you enjoyed it Eddie!
EXCELLENT. Thank you
You're welcome Marc!
The Treble clef is also known as the G clef-- you will notice that it curls around the G line. The Bass Clef is the F clef -- that dot in on the F. The reason for different clefs is so we don't have to deal with ledger lines all the time. The other clefs fit the instrument or vocal range. (Alto clef isn't used much, but it's great for that voice range, and eliminates ledger lines.)
I sing Sacred Harp. The songs are all written to fit the staffs as much as possible. They can be sung anywhere the group as a whole agrees. (It's 4, or 6, part vocal harmony.)
that's true!! In piano music, the staffs are almost always in their "normal" spot, but they can be moved around
Very useful. Thank you!
Awesome Juan. Glad you found the video helpful! 🎹
This is awesome. I makes practice fun and much more interesting and effective.
So glad you liked it Bobby!!
Dam you Zack! You got me addicted to your lessons cause so well explained! Don't need to pay for classes NO more with your videos! All free with your classes! Don't forget my request song on Tom Jones - impossible Dream ( karaoke is his best version on CZcams!
Thanks Zach! This is super helpful. I was struggling and very slow at decoding but now you have provided a system that makes sense so I should be able to make progress. I notice that the ledger lines above both staffs follow the FACE order. The treble ledger lines below follow FACE order "backwards," so 3 out of 4, and the bass low notes on the ledger lines follow "All Cows..." backwards. This might help in learning those outer lines.
Good call, yea so the notes are in the same order, so FACE and EGBDF will lline up *somewhere* on each staff/ledger lines, if it helps you use it!
This was super help full I am 13 years old and I am learning key board u make it easy to learn love it😊😊
thank you very much, sir Zach. I can practice my sight reading better.
Awesome Evelyn. Keep up the great work! 🎹

Yes very good sir
Very nice sir to learn piano.or organ
U make everything easy and not hard unlike others
Thank you. Glad you found the video helpful! 🎹
So far this is the most easiest video I found for reading notes fast
when i was in elementary school, in Lafayette, Louisiana, we learned the same acronyms except for the last one. instead of all cows eat grass we learned it was All Cajuns Eat Gumbo. ⚜️
Zach...just don't miss on the middle C for Line notes and D, G included in Space notes for treble staff reading!
I'm Indian...good job sir.. helpful thank u soo much ❤️
Thanks. Glad you enjoyed the video! 🎹
For the full range exercises, how many ledger lines up and below the staff do you recommend working on?
But still a good video Bravo!😊❤
Every Good Boy Does Fine.
Good Boys Do Fine Always.
I think these two work best
suggestion for the app Zach. if it could be modified, it would be better for the options to be in a piano-like lay-out of the buttons.
Thanks so much Zack, great video. Sight reading has been the greatest challenge for me, I have printed the sheets and doing the pyramid system exercise.
Please is there another way to get access to the pyramid system as have been coming to this video and entering my email address over and over again in other to do the exercise. If there is another way, it would be great, if not it cool too. Thank you for the great video (;
Great can I learn to play the piano now and sing along with it?
Didn't know Brad Pitt was this good at the piano.
Lol!! I'll take it 😂
What do you mean?
Zach You're probably going to find this funny. I just sat there playing songs for almost 2 hours yet I still can't read notes. I know what all of the keys are letter wise I just can't site read I'm sure this will help me because you have taught me several songs thanks for all your videos and your help I appreciate it big time.
Awesome Jay. Keep up the great work! 🎹
@@becomeapianosuperhuman6765 thanks for your help.
you make a great contribution to us. 3Q
Glad you enjoy the video! 🎹
You're cool, boy!
Zack a genius! Makes me jealous ! Don't tell anyone he is smarter than me! I will feel pain! Yep! 🦊🍡🦊🍡🦊
Very nicely explained. I will give this a try, thanks!
And for the notes on the treble clef that just touch the bottom and top ledger line, the bottom is Dog, guarding the clef and God, the guard dog elevated.
Grizzly Bears Don't Fly Airplanes also works...😅
The fact that it is complex it is because you want us to understand more about how to read notes fast and especially about the notes
Thanks for the tips although I really am not a fan of your video making style to be honest. I don't mean to sound harsh but just so many annoying sounds and big arrows and stuff, it gives me a bit of a headache. Chill with those a little!
That said, the content is still amazing and extremely useful for many of us beginners, so I do appreciate you!
Thanks for the feedback. Glad you are finding the videos helpful! 🎹
So what is the software you're using to actually do the practice and how do we get it? You didn't mention that.
One of the most helpful videos I’ve ever seen❤
What is the website or app he's referring to for practice can't find it in description?
Please make video on NotesOcean , and how to upload my notes
hey, I'm not familiar with NotesOcean, but I'll see if i can check it out!
Where do I get the app for this?
👍
Quick question, is C flat the same as B?
I'm having trouble connecting my keyboard to it, if anyone knows how please tell me!
Good boys do fine always
Hey Wendy!! Yes, you can use that for the bass clef lines if you want - i don't teach it because often times students would get it confused with every good boy does fine, but whatever works for you you can use!
@@becomeapianosuperhuman6765 we learned it from our music teacher in public school in 4th grade. All of us learned the same thing and I guess we're not confused.
Do you mean your adult students
@@deadmanswife3625 Yea it definitely works!! You can use whatever you want, I just like to keep it as different as possible. But if you already learned that way I'd stick to it
how can I get the cheap sheet
Unlike other videos
OMGGGG THIS IS SOOOO HARDDD!!!!!!!!
Where is the exercise link
There should be voice dictation for composing music I think I might be good at that
This confuse me always , Why does some notes like
( F A C E ) on the ledger line.
The note circle are facing to your left and others are facing to your right. Then in others they are all facing the same direction?

Hey there I dont know why the website is not working anymore for me. The access is denied !
Good Boys Do Fine Always
Can't sign up as there is no connection after entering email address, just says unable to connect.
A bit hard but still understand😊 not that complicated
