I love the original layout soo much. Newer layouts are okay but they’re missing that special spot that the old layout had. Not to mention it was so satisfying to get right. I ended up modding it into f1 2013 since it’s so much better imo. Wish they’d flattened the curbs rather than completely remove it
Me too, I loved the chicane. But the tracks gotta match the real life version and codies would have gotten so much shit for not updating again

I like Marina Bay, both the circuit and the fact it's a night race. The third sector is actually one of my favourite 'rhythm sections' to drive in the F1 game, along with the section in Monaco from Casino Square to Portier.
That chicane is soo sick
A little correction - in 3:58 they didn't simply "widened" this corner. That's a result of changing the lane on this little bridge. Previously the track was on the right side, now it's on the left side (you can see the "old" part a few seconds earlier on the video).
It was only the other side for the 2008 race actually
12 was on right side just like 08, no idea about other years in between and after. 15 was on left side as was 18 and probably others aswell until today.
i love SG track just because it is the nearest f1 circuit from my home that i could reach 😅

They also moved over from the right hand side of the bridge to the left side, in 2015, after the singapore sling chicane.
I still remember the sling chicane, I only played F1 2012 before jumping straight into F1 2018 and for the first time playing this track, the missing chicane baffled me quite a lot......
I played F1 2012 and jumped then in F1 2020 but never noticed the difference
*The straight between turn 13 & 14 also have a third DRS zone on the track from the 2019 Singapore GP onwards. Because there was no Singapore GP in 2020 and there won't be one in 2021, it's only in the games for those 2 years.
I’d love for them to bring back the Sling with less harsh kerbs, maybe 2022 cars will allow that to be possible?

2015 the anderson bridge section changed because previously they used the right side of the bridge, but that is now closed and no longer open to vehicular traffic, so they switched sides to the left
I loved this old chicane It was very fun to drive around the old Marina Bay layout

That last sector is what i hate most about this track. Losing grip everywhere especially the last 2 corners.
Would be nice if u did one Spa-Francorchamps video (in which u would have to go to games like Assetto Corsa or AMS but that wouldn't be a big problem in my eyes)
You didn't notice that until 2014 they used the right-hand side of the bridge between turns 12 and 13, and then they used the left-hand side, making the hairpin sharper.

This is my first full year really following F1, and I was extremely bummed when they canceled the Singapore race, as I was really looking forward to it!

I feel that people hate this track because its cool to do so, i think there is not much wrong with it, although certain parts are quite narrow, for a street circuit, this track also opens up a lot in Certain areas.
We hate these new tracks because we are romantic, we love Spa, Monza, Silverstone, watkins glen, Suzuka, and not these boring street circuit

They didn't widened the corner, you just drive trough the left side of the bridge. Befor that you drove on the right side.
That's why it looks widened.
