    Awesome to see you so stoked about this tv. I used a lgc2 oled as a monitor for about 6 months and when I went to get a tv for the living room I went with the x90l instead of another oled. I love it just as much as my c2 after I dialed it in. I know 1k isn’t “cheap” but compared to the price of everything else, the picture quality you get for the price is unreal. I’ll keep this tv until it dies. Even if it gets moved to another room eventually.

    Man You (11:27) Made the correct choice with that particular AV Receiver. I have the same set up, I went all in also: Sony wireless surround, wireless rear surround + up firing speaker, Center Channel and front speaker with up firing atmos speakers. It's really unbeleivable sound in my opinion. I think I was watching James Bond Spectre & Skyfall and the explosions made items move on the Bedside table ! I'm in UHD Blu-ray Heaven ! Thanks for a great Review as usual.

    So true about the 4k discs, but can't stress enough the importance of a good player. The Panasonic UB820 is completely insane, the inbuilt brightness booster that goes beyond your TV settings is a game changer....

      Next level, you won't be disappointed. I find Dolby Vision discs too dark, so the brightness setting in the player itself is amazing. The UI for smart apps is dated and don't care for it much, but the player for its primary purpose is worth its weight in gold 👌.@@NewStuffTV1

    Love your enthusiasm!!!! Anyways I just watched B the installer review of the Sony Bravia 7 and he liked it for the most part but he did say that those dark scenes are just a bit too dark!!!! The reason I mention all this is that I'm interested in finding out which of these 2 tvs has a better contrast including blooming??????

    • @NewStuffTV1
      @NewStuffTV1  Před měsícem

      Thanks for watching! B is definitely thean when it comes to this stuff. I've got my X90L dialed in "perfectly for dark content. I've been using the Bravia 7 for a week as of today, but I'm still tweaking it in regards to blacks and dark scenes.

    By the way my local library has started to offer 4k blu ray movies just in the last few days! We are talking about 100 of them and of course I've been checking them out!!! I'm pretty excited about it!!! One more question for you! Did you ever consider trying out an OLED TV??????

    • @NewStuffTV1
      @NewStuffTV1  Před měsícem

      That's awesome to hear about your library. I was afraid I had gotten into this too late to enjoy the physical media. I've seen OLED and it's great... I just think it's a tad bit overrated when compared to the capability of Mini OLED & and their prices.

    I totally get what you mean with the 90l ruining other tv experiences. I had a x93l that my son broke(RIP $1800) so I bought a $500 Samsung CU7000 and I hate it. Going from Sony Mini LED to Samsung LED was so disappointing. So now im gonna wait to buy the Bravia 8 or possibly 7 depending on the sale.

      I have both. It’s slightly better, but most definitely not worth the price difference. You are only a little off an A80l. If you don’t want OLED, I’d go X90l and save some cash.

    I have an engineering background and I must say I agree with you I have the Sony 85K 42” for my upstairs but i need a better quality 65” for downstairs.
    The price on Amazon is about $1200 plus tax $1300 when it’s not on sale versus the X 85K which is around $1000.
    For $300 more you are getting the following, genuine 120 HZ, VRR, and you’re getting a better sound ba, built in the tv.
    Also if you notice on the Sony X 85 and Sony X 77 the Sony logo is on the middle bottom of the TV. On the X90 k it is on the left.
    You could go with the Bravia seven but the same TV is gonna cost you $500 more and after that is that expensive LED models which could be anywhere from $2000-$3500 .
    Dollar pound pound Sony 90 L is the best middle of the road; do it all TV. Where it really shines is i gaming it is built for the PS5. Also, if you get a swivel stand it does great on angles

    I’ve ordered the 98x90l but rethinking if it’s worth three grand more than the 85 inch. Any thoughts? It’s going to be wall mounted.
    For home theatre setup, I am planning on using. Sonos setup (arc, subwoofer and era 300s as rears). Moved away from regular receiver setup but wondering if I should reconsider it with this tv in the living room.

    • @NewStuffTV1
      @NewStuffTV1  Před 12 dny +1

      With a tv this size, I think you'll want/need some BIG sound to match for sure. As fart as it being worth $3k more than the 85", for numbers sake it isn't, but this is more about what you WANT vs what makes sense. Lol!

      Thanks for watching! I've seen the 98" X90L in person, and it's MASSIVE! In my opinion, the Bravia 7 is slightly better in brilliance and brightness. However in regards to blacks and dark scenes, it takes some precise tweaking to get the perfect picture because it can get super dark.
      The 98" X90L is just too hard to pass up, especially since it will be going on sale soon.
