This car brings back happy memories. One of our neighbors owned a Pontiac dealership in Antigonish, Nova Scotia, Canada. We were always seeing the cars he brought to his house. Being a University Town, St. Francis Xavier, they sold a lot of these fabulous Pontiacs. What a beauty! Love Detroit Muscle!
First thing needed on the dyno run was invert the air cleaner lid. Pulling 5500 through that silencer snorkel gives you the low power and choking enrichment.
agreed......i feel confident with tuning and minor old school street racer tricks theres another 45-50 horse in that setup......drill holes around the parimeter of the underside of that air cleaner, ign and carb tuning, etc.......''Naked man walks up to the elephant...elephant says ''how can you breathe thru that thing''........
I’d rather have a carburetor. Set it and forget it. Sure the economics aren’t as efficient as fuel injection but still I’d rather have the carburetor. I love sitting and warming up a machine. It gives me good vibrations. My Harley? Carbureted. My 79 Bronco? Carbureted. My 79 F250? Carbureted. My Volvo 240s ? Fuel injected but the Bosch 2.4 injection is so simple and reliable and troubleshooting is is a breeze.
I would have put a Holley 850 double pumper on it, 4 wheel disc brakes and changed the rear gears to 3.55. Anything else detracts from the cars pedigree and purpose. Muscle cars aren't supposed to be "refined", they're supposed to be raw and in your face.

Such a sweet ride, had a 68 back in the day and sold it when I went into the Marines. This 69 though so such a clean straight up Muscle Car it would be like a baby being pampered and driven every day to show off..
A clutch fan from a 70 Z28 and a 4 core rad will out perform 2 electrics. 15” rims would be my max or you could end up with a clown car. Leave the paint and stripes alone.

Hello gentlemen I saw 2 items that I thought were extinct on September 24,2020. I am going to share them with you 2 gentleman . *** 1st item was a Ford Pinto. *** 2nd part of the item was it had ran out of gas. I went by it and started laughing so hard ,I had almost peed my pants. I am 63 years old and it had definitely brought back some outstanding memories from when I was 16 years old . The 1st car I had ever owned which was purchased with my own cash ,own job and my own trial and error experience. It was a red ford pinto with a 4 speed ,307 V8 , L60 tires. Memories filled my brain and heart to the point where I thought I was 16 years old again. Thank -you gentlemen.
I drove my 68 Camaro RS/SS 350 4 speed with 4:10 gears in the back, from Ft Bragg NC to Ohio, which is a 8 hour drive. I got between 16-18 mpg..... It was a fun trip though

Watched the video and like the choice of engine replacement but was very impressed with how the minor scratches were removed and buffed out. Striping and Sea Foam decal placement well done. Overall as a former muscle car owner ( 67 and 70 Chevelle SS396s The finished product will turn heads.
As a Vet & a SAM Tech student I still only Dream at 37 of owning a real (no dynacorn) 1969 Camaro, heck I'd even take a straight 6 coupe base model car. Love the project, personally love Seafoam products myself. Have argued in their defense quite a bit but believe in what they make and know it does work. Most call it snake oil and that's fine, I must've just been the lucky bastard that purchased those certain bottles that had just the right mixture 😄 Car is Awesome, only thing that hurts (in my opinion) is going EFI & not keep those beautiful original rallye wheels. Other than that, it'll make somebody Very very proud
Brother, I'm sure yall would be plenty happy doing a throttle body injection, and that MIGHT work for a 400 horsepower cruiser, but one thing that I've been dying to see is a multi-port injected old school 350 with a clean 900 cfm throttle body setup that can stop, handle, and perform with the modern muscle cars. I'm sure this'll end up being an old school small block with Holley throttle body injection with Baer Brakes, QA1 shocks, and something cool in the wheels and tires department. As much as I am bitching to myself, I'd give half of my manhood to own it. I've never owned a muscle car before and I'd die to get a chance to own this beautiful car.
Tommy. You should go look at the Doug Nash 5 speed sold by Richmond Gear. Direct bolt in for Camaro and Corvette. Handles up to 1000 horse in the same size as the stock transmission . I have 4 Camaros using this unit.. Have fun

I had to do a little stop/go action to see when the hood turned black. It was red as the car passed the sign, so it appears that the black is part of the graphics package. Nice shine.
The rear end on the highway driving video clip is sitting low and the front end high. You need a higher speed gear ratio rear end or at least transmission, and a lift on the rear end, plus descent suspension! Monroe Nascar sensa-trac nitrogen filled has shocks are a good choice. Plus a custom rear wing. The five speed transmission is a great idea, or a the 350 automatic.
I mean, understandably, its a brand promotion car but I feel like a darker grey stripe wouldve been nice, and I laughed alittle too hard when he said "we added a "subtle" decal in the back"

Well, Tommy did say that the seats didn't offer a lot of support for any long-distance driving to the point that simply running down the road for a pretty good distance would physically wear you out Thus the reason why they're looking upgrading the seats

Kinda weird they complain about the gas mileage but only put 3 gallons in it at the pump

First thing I'd do is take those goofy graphics off, take it back to the original look. Otherwise it's starting out to be a great build.

231 hp I am guessing a 5.0 4 barrel V8. Small V8 but a good one. That car sounds good for a high mileage engine.
