In most African marriages it's two families brought together through the couple. It involves dowry and a blessing of the union. Usually there are 2 ceremonies, the traditional and church/ religious with the signing of a license. Tunde is lying, he just doesn't want to marry her. Period. This is the first time I’ve ever heard of this show and it appears to be pretty good. The talking and pausing can definitely be left at a minimum or turn the volume down on yourself if you’re gonna talk while it plays but good and funny!. In the magnitude of what I have watched thus far as for the first couple: Marie needs to release herself from him, take sometime to heal and date herself, and then when ready align herself with the man that will give her, her hearts desires. Just because you have known someone for a long time doesn’t mean that’s the person your supposed to be with. She needs to reflect and redefine her morals and values; she may be ready for marriage but not with HIM and that’s okay. Tunde is controlling, manipulative & narcissistic. It’s reeking through my screen,he wants what he wants and thinks that money will make Marie stay. He asked her if she’s ready for marriage as if he is and he’s definitely not. You can’t place expectations on someone and fail to do the same yourself. For him to play like Marie won’t leave him is a set up for himself, when a woman is fed up TRUST she bout 1/2 way out the door already whether he know it or not. Acting like he the best thing since sliced bread; He already don’t want to be there he’s too stuck in his ways on what he thinks a marriage is or isn’t. He need to find himself too, his mindset is so warped that it would take the strength of 20 men to sit there and go through fire to be with him. Don’t know too many women who would….
As for the second couple : their lack of communication is loud. You cannot make your point screaming & over-talking the other person. They have to learn to listen to understand rather than respond. It’s s big difference. If he’ll lie about something simple as his age he’ll lie about anything. Out the gate? And instead of taking accountability he deflected with “it’s not that big if a deal”. And then turned around and lied about being sick and was caught… 🙄 As for Rae babygirl, you 30 go find someone your age range 🤷🏾♀️ simple. She also needs to learn to let people have the floor and talk before she comments on every single point they make. You catch more bees with honey; I can see a soft side to her but she won’t get it dealing with someone’s unhinged son. If you know you don’t date outside what you know your preference is as far as age don’t start! There’s a reason you don’t, stick to it.
