The Shadow ring needs to be worn for the effect. It was patched a while ago, because people where using it to abuse Kerepac.
It needs to be worn for kerapac but not for the glacor, they changed kerapac but allowed for it to be used from bank for the glacors effect.
Flanking works on glacytes and the arms, and is really very good for dealing with the arms on a switch. edit: you mention this in the actual mechanic description but don't include a flanking switch in your presets
You said 58 archeology was required for shadow pontifex ring. Wanted to clarify that it's 74 required for the quest.
When he is doing the ranged and mage attacks, there is another way to know whats coming. When he does the range, you'll see spikes at your feet well before the green on the screen. When there are no spikes, its obviously mage.
LOVE the marked inventory setups, finally can look up what items are without having to do wild imaginative color work!
When he is going for frost cannon and the creeping ice is directing towards the middle, he will keep attacking. When the ice is going towards the center and he stops attacking half way though, he will do the exposed core mechanic. This brief notice of him attacking is well enough time to anticipate+devo or powerburst/barricade if needed.
Great video, just a couple tips. 1. The first rotation through his mechanics, he has to use all 5 before moving on to doing them a 2nd time and using random mechanics 2. For cannons where devotion is on cooldown, you only need to hse 1 of the following: reflect, debilitate, powerburst of vitality. As long as you are 7501+ health, reflect OR debilitate with magic prayer will hit for 3 2500s (7500), and vitality w/ magic prayer will be 3 5ks (15000) (7501×2=15002)

If people are hunting for cores (up to 250% enrage), it maybe an idea to swap out a Ripper demon familiar for a Blood reaver in combo with the Vampyrism aura and weapon poison +++. Less money spent on scrolls / spiritual prayer potions. But still similar DPS, though you have to risk not using a dmg or accuracy aura, or a viable method if the auras are on cooldown.

I had no idea you didn't actually have to run out during the core attack. I thought the core would damage you until you moved, and you were pinned in until the arm was dead. that will MASSIVELY increase my dps. the less I have to run out of that death swiftness the better.
Hey nuzz :) do you know the best way to hunt for core? Streak or just do 0-250 claim? I can comfortably do streaks up to around 600-650 before i feel challenged. So should i just streak for as long as possible or as i said, do 0-250 claims?

I'm horrible at bossing and I just got hardmode with only 1 death so far because of your guide.
When do I swap to emerald bolts? Do I switch everytime the spec procs?
I feel like I'm doing everything right but my damage isn't good enough to take the arm down in hard mode before I get stacked out by the ice damage, any suggestions?
Cheers on the Vuln bomb tip, hought I couldn’t reach with them.
As a general rule, if you throw your vuln bomb at your ripper, you will hit everytime.

I read somewhere in the beasts tab something like "your streak affects your chance of getting a unique" I don't think enrage affects loot at all. To me it's like, Streak affects loot while enrage is there to make it harder to get the higher unique chance from streaks. When EL did the 4000% he got terrible loot but it was a 1 KS.
Streaks are the only way of increasing value of drops.
0-4000% enrage gives same drop rates for all uniques.

Hey @nuzz nuzz I'm having trouble with what to do if you stuff up the cannon attack but still survive. I get a bleed effect hitting 400-900 every tick and freedom doesn't remove it. It stays until I die every time. Any ideas to why and if it can actually be removed when this happens?
I think it may be the ring of death effect. It was changed not so long ago and it supposedly makes you choose to stay for the kill and risk dying again or tele out when you first 'die' and trigger the effect.

How do you move the camera if you have A S D key binded to abilities?
You can click and hold your mouse scroll wheel and move your mouse around to move the camera, its a much nicer way to move the camera while PVMing.
When you say EOF D bow spec, are you referring to the Decimation?

Just streaked to 1k for the first time this week at exactly an 86 ks like you displayed. Am loving it. Also, where the nilas at! Can I get an amen?
Tip: don't use debilitate or reflect if you know your devotion is on cool down in case u get beamed.
What is your special attack fire rate for ripper? I'm watching a guide finally after having gotten to 250 enrage myself, but can't go much further.
You want to fire it manually, as often as possible.
set it to 1 or 2, 0 is off, and 5 will not fire often enough. It will use as many scrolls as it "possibly can" at 1 or 2
tried my first hm kill and it one shotted me even though I used resonance on the frost cannon attack. It's confusing since its works in normal mode, but in hard mode it still deflects damage + heals, yet killed me anyway after a few seconds...
Just re-watched that part of the video. I see it hits three times and requires multiple defensive abilities to counter. Is this not bad game design? Especially if the canon is back-to-back? It feels difficult to fight this kind of mechanic only using revolution and not having the full keybind setup.
Not to complain too much but i'm getting a little sick of jagex putting in these instakill mechanics that require the perfect timing and a bunch of sweaty button-mashing just to stay alive. I'm sticking to normal mode.
I was fine up until like 950% enrage, and I just die over and over now.
How the hell are you getting 4-5 minutes on 1000%? I'm doing 10-12 minutes with best in slot weapons and gear.
Came here for tips but I know how it all works. My biggest issue is Dive or Surge messing up when I click correctly.

I tried everything u mentioned but I always get fcked at the exposed core, I don't know what i'm doing wrong but It seems I don't have enough damage. Eventho I have full sirenic, double ascensions, cinderbanes, script of jas and bakriminel bolts. I don't understand. Are my ability rotations bad?
Sometimes EOF + dbow is really nice for killing it really fast, or greater ricochet + hydrix bolts, or making sure you have snapshot/rapid fire. Basically need to threshold it down ASAP. Maybe try not using death's swiftness if you don't have a way to build adrenaline quickly and instead just use thresholds.
@@NuzzNuzz thank you for your reply ! That’s the thing tho I don’t have all these abilities yet so maybe that’s the issue. I’m a beginner PVM, still need to unlock death swiftness and the greater abilitys. Maybe just limit myself to normal glacor or other bosses?
@@pergaman6334 Keep in mind. The arms has different weakness. With magic, I always killed the right arm...... (left arm has fire weakness)

If doing ranged, it helps a lot to walk right next to the front row of minions, and put yourself as close to the wall as possible. From here of you target the closest minion in the main stack with chins, you can hit all of the normals, and the bolstered in the same way you cleared pre250%. I hope this helps.

@@champkmaq7510 No worries. If you need a better idea of what it looks like, 19:07 is a pretty textbook example. The bolstered glacor will always group like it does here if done correctly, and it really speeds things up. I prefer to hit a corruption shot, into a frag shot while I'm waiting for them to group, and end with a dark bow spec if I have the adren. Otherwise, a rapid fire of the healthiest minion will generally do the trick, and lock things down incase you need to clean up afterward. Don't be afraid to dump adren into the glacors, because this mechanic is time gated. The faster you kill the glacors, the more time you have to build adren before the next mechanic starts.
Does pontifex ring works from bank? I am so confused since they changed it to not work when not worn? What is true now?

I'm having an issue with dps too. Probably because I'm slowly switching out of revo though. I just don't understand the constant crits
Also to note that for mage users the new armour really helps with tanking hits when needed.

"beginner" "0-1000%" Man and here I thought I was doing pretty good at 150% hardmode so far. Learning prayer flicking should help, I was still learning prayer SWAPPING timing from this guy.
In rs3, damage is calculated when the attack hits you, not when the attack is cast. Knowing this makes the timing for flicking much easier, and also means you have a lot more time to change than you might expect.

This boss is done up to 4000% enrage and drops things worth 1.5b lol. Ive made 3 seren godbows here.
1.2k no core rip
I was at 1364 no core, and took a week break. Came back and got 1 first kill at only 92% enrage
850kc 1 core but no scripture, artifact or pet. about 4 or 5 nilas drops
i am 1737 kc and no core too rip

I can't beat him. That goddamn fucking arm attack kills me every time! I'm so fucking pissed. I've lost so much goddamn money trying to beat him.
I have all 99 combat stats, Full T90 Masterwork, Noxious Scythe, Supreme Overloads, and curses. This boss is just super impossible for me, just like Araxxor.
