Using a token system will unnecessarily waste 10-20 minutes during peak hours. Established metros like Singapore's MRT and Hong Kong's MTR or London's Tube use cash cards (EZ Link, Octopus, Oyster) to open the gate at the gantry instead of using tokens. Hopefully one day they shall implement this. Maybe even using Aadhaar Pay in the future. It will save a good 30-40 minutes for the commuters.

What the hell? What’s the use of smart card if we still have to take a token? In rush hours cash customers and smart card customers would stand in queue and then take the metro. What’s the use of smart card if we can’t swipe it?

Bangalore metro is more better in token system. If we have smart card we can use smart card directly in place of token. But in hyd we have take take token definitely. Very poor system. Saying latest but it became poor.
