Drafting him is not saying we got the Jett pick wrong. It’s saying that Okeke & Ingles will no longer be with us next year and we drafted a wing to replace him.
Exactly. Not sure why people keep mentioning Jett when they play different positions lol… The Magic still believe Jett is going to be a very good player.

@@realitymatters4745 how if we just brought in KCP & Gary back to help develop him ? 🤣 if they didn’t believe in him or thought he was the wrong pick we would’ve been out looking for our SG of the future instead of a play now/mentor in KCP.
I like getting an older, more experienced player. So many kids have had no development or training in the fundamentals before they get to the NBA. This kid has it. Rick Barry once said, he'd rather have a guy who knows how to play the game than an elite athlete. I think this young man fits that idea. Good pick.
'A' pick considering it came at 18. outside shot, attacks off the catch, good decision maker, great off ball. franz is also an exceptional cutter, just needs to be taken off the ball more. now they realllly need ab or suggs to emerge as the true point

When you’re a deep, young team, you take best player available. Any pick here could be used to say, “does that mean the end for____ player in Orlando?” Why worry too much about that? Why does he need to replace Jett? Why can’t he be the eventually replacement for ingles, who’s no youngster? The pick has nothing to do with Jett Howard and everything to do with Tristan de Silva.
Agreed. Ingles didn't add much to the team last year. da Silva is a good replacement for that type of player. Plus his team D is really good.
I don't see da Silva's selection as an indictment of Anthony Black. Those 2 don't even play the same position! I like my Magic's pick.

Tristan da Silva has two-way potential. He defends and can shoot the basketball. Orlando could have done a lot worse with this pick.
imo, those takes were mid at best. comparing TDS to joe ingles? first off, TDS is infinitely more athletic than ingles EVER was. 98th percentile in change of pace. shot back to back seasons OVER 38% from 3pt line. jett howard will get PT, and see some summer league action. I think they also forgot that Jett played in the g league and was getting buckets. there have been several other players to get work in , in the g league, that have had very solid careers
I watch Buffaloes a lot and I honestly think he’s a better player right now than Cody…although I think Cody has more long term potential. Da Silva will be rock solid though. Plays his role perfectly. Excellent shooter, smooth handles, high IQ. I think he can be a 15-20 ppg guy in Orlando next to Paolo
D, what's the point in a first round pick which will sit behind, Paolo, Franz and Isaac

@@classicslayer456 there where definitely players with more upside in positions that made more sense. I will agree though. The shooting guards that could spread the floor went just before we could pick, which was painful. Although I'm hearing they wanted him all along and I can't wrap my head around why
