I read the book when I was in High School. I don't remember where I first saw the movie. I had it on a VHS tape . Now its you tube. I always wanted to be Bobbi Lee Hartley and Boy was I in love with Robby Benson. My family is from the south. I was Born in SC. My Mom and all my family have that southern drawl. However my parents moved to southern Ca when I was 6 weeks old. This is and always will be my favorite Movie of all time. And then there was Billy Jack but thats another movie so.....Great Job Glynnis and Robbie. I'm only a couple of years younger than the both of you. Thank you Bobbie Gentry for a song I still love today

Billy Joe did NOT jump off the bridge! He went into the water to recover Benjamin and drowned. It was an accidental death. He had every intention of coming back to the love of his life.
What is with the sound in this interview? Also what's with that comment 2 years ago about "no tattoos?" Why is that such a popular comment to make among misogynists?
Glynnis O'Connor you did a superb job in "Ode to Billy Joe". 10 thumbs up & 20 stars!!

Ms Glynnis O'Connor was a very popular actress in the 1970s. She appeared in Movies, Television and Commercials. God Bless You Ma'am.
