lol, this was so fun. I have definitely tried the yelling at it, tapping it from the bottom the towel and using a knife. Would never have thought of hot water. Next time I am trying that first!

Thanks! The banging method seemed to work for me. Try banging in on the counter until the thing holding it together pop. It should be loose enough to open after that

I soak the lid in hot water. If it's a new jar, i use a bottle top opener or butter knife to release some of the air pressure
