Special thanks to James Arnold Taylor and Gabor Vida - Zábava
and every time you think it can't get any better, there comes this guy and simply does it. The greatness of this show is beyond compare.
Ahaha Stoneboat the Crossbowl 😂
Making my way through these and loving every second of it 👏
I'm surprised Edbert didn't get any credit from Sheryl for giving the destroying blow to the necromancer, allowing her the window to bring down the temple.
I love every time you say "Arn Kalapoonkeh"
My immediate thought at the altered scene of moving away from the minor miracle was that the madman had indeed been murdered by a member of the local church in order to silence the truth. Using his arcane power to make it appear as though the madman had angered the gods and was being punished. Perhaps something in the journal tipped Simon off that it wasnt as much of a miracle as has been thinking all of these years and it was in fact murder. Perhaps Simons own actions of trying to save the madman helped cover the fact that it was a murder.
Yay! The not-a-lich has been defeated! Also, has anyone noticed the blinking red light from the GoPro on the obelisk? I thought it was very fitting.
Totally noticed - I thought Trevor did it on purpose at first.
What makes you think I didn't...?
I’d have thought that Cherylynn might give Edbert a bit of a break seeing as he slew Zyrator. Surely that would at least count as a step in the right direction for his redemption?
This was an amazing conclusion to the whole Necromancer story thread. As always, I can’t wait until next week.
Seriously, what's a guy gotta do to atone around here?!?
@@perspectivedetective Kill an evil god?
*The Arcane Heresy!* Man, that sounds so cool as hell, I can't believe anyone hadn't thought of that in any story before! I hope to see more of them in future episodes!
GOTTA SAY IVE BEEN WATCHING THIS SERIES AND IM AMAZED... TREVOR YOU ARE KILLING IT :)
You have my respect sir! I think you are brilliant and I love the passion that you are putting behind all this. Please keep doing what you are doing!! More people need to watch this show!
Thanks!
I’m now interested in savage worlds Thank you 😊 😅
Been making my way through this for the last week. Never watched a role play show before, but this has been absolutely captivating. Ive actively chosen to watch this over Netflix lol.
Question: How did Edbert *not* atone with the destruction of the temple? It was also his sword that went through the necromancer's heart. I'm thinking that ghost needs to let him go.
Keep watching... the answer will reveal itself ;)
Stoneboat the crossbowl
I'm really enjoying this series. I love Savage Worlds and Mythic is one of my favorite GM tools. I really appreciate the 30 minute format and the story you have going on.
I was kinda hoping that Sherylyn (how do you spell her name anyway) would move on as Edbert helped destroy the temple so he had atoned for his sins. Or at least would leave him in peace. But I guess these are 2 separate threads (temple destruction and exorcising her) and I do want her to stick around for a while yet lol
Wow! That was great! I love your energy and your passion. You've inspired me to pull out Mythic Variations II and give it another try with Savage Worlds instead of Pathfinder.
Omg it was a great episode with a little bit of Lucky this time haha they deserved it
I haven't even finished watching the vid, but Oh My God!
What a freaking twist! I mean, all this time the story involved itself with divinity. To have that supposed truth be contradicted actually adds more sense to the theme of the story!
I'm really excited to see how this goes!
That plot twist tho. "There is no gods" and the gods struck him down"... Contradictory, but for me that just means there is something omnipotent that knew about the truth, actively deceiving everyone and want to keep it that way. Something bigger and threathening, world class entity
Thank you for another thrilling episode! What an amazing end for this thread.
Maaaaaaan, what an amazing episode!
I was diggin' Cherylynn until she collapsed a temple down onto the party and destroyed any clues Simon could've used to determine why Zyrator was interested in his parents. Not a team player. I say give Edbert Stoneboat the Crossbowl and end her.
That was suspiciously easy, haha! Lots of fun as always, thanks for doing this!
Even Simon gets lucky sometimes....!
Consider ironsworn..? I would love to see your spin on this great system!
Reading it now ;)
Awesome..! 😊
Bro when that epic theme song hits, it hits!
Fantastic series, but what really gets me is that your looks somehow suit your various character voices more than your real voice. You look so convincing as 'bert and Arnie despite playing them as pure improv - it's crazy!
I have been wanting to start using Savage Worlds at the table to just try something new and to give D&D 5e a break.
Your videos have been a HUGE inspiration. I know that you are using a other products a supplements but the game looks so smooth to run.
Love the story, love the characters. You are awesome.
... and *you* are too kind. Thanks! :)
It's genuinely beautiful to see someone both good at and passionate about something do their thing. Mans has more energy than half of the games I'm in as a solo XD I'm taking notes.
So engaging!!!
Aaaaaaaaaaaa!!!!! What a story!!!🌪🧟♂️🧟🧟♀️🕸💫⭐️🌟⚡️✨💥🔥☄️ I was kind down-in-the-dumps until I watched this! Now I wanna go play something!
Que gran desenlace... Muy buena aventura 🎲🎲
Coming in three years late to comment Stonebolt the Crossbowl lmao
Heh. I was humored that you described the obelisk as glowing and it was reflecting the red blink of your camera's light. Nice effect. ;)
Also, please check out the Trinkets in the 5e Dungeons and Dragons PHB, pages 160 and 161. I think you will really like those; they have a lot of flavor. There is a great random chart for them, too.
The adventurer’s notebook is actually his father’s and Simon moves away from a thread because he doesn’t recognize it as such.
You sir are hilarious to watch. Thanks for this, I am really enjoying this series.
I see Eddie is having another "I know this thing" moment despite his low knowledge and smarts
Simon’s luck feels like it’s slowly changing to be better.... slowly, veeeeeeery slowly.... of course i’m 5 min in so for all i know it’s gonna all go down hill
Another awesome episode, well done!
"Any time he's around long haired human women he's going to be irrationally afraid of them." Sorry, dude, your options for mates suddenly got MUCH smaller. Ha!
This became incredibly epic, I love the characters and the storyline.
love the story and hope you will keep it up.
brilliant storytelling
Literally right after I posted, literally right after
At 26:02, the power level of Zyr-Ator (D12) was decided in Episode 12 at 31m12.

At 26:08, the "no power rule" is explained in Episode 10 at 7m08

Love the show and your amazing story telling ability. One thing I noticed and I know your long past this series, but you had Simon make an agreement with Cherilyn that if you destroyed the temple she would leave Edbert.. At least at the end of this episode, it seems like that agreement was overlooked or forgotten.
There was no agreement: Simon failed his persuasion roll. The best he could get her to make a nod to (literally) was to “release her hold on Edbert, at least enough so that he may rest”. As in, get any sleep at all.
A great show! Remember me One Man The Lord of The Rings
The funny thing was I already imagined Arn as having white hair and beard.
I would love to see the "official" stat sheets for the characters, for those of us interested in re-creating Simons adventures! :-)
Working on it!
not gunna lie. lil miffed at sherylin for immediately bringing down the temple instead of allowing simon the chance to return to the crypt to fallow that passage out to where ever it lets out, so he could try to track down his father.
So was Simon.
Is this your preferred playstyle, Trevor? Love the series!
W00t!!!!1!
Excellent as always!
Did you spend a Benny to get Simon out of shaken status? I thought that you could do it with automatic success and act on the same round.
I think I was saving his last one in case he had to soak!
...and I just realized what you were referring to. Yes, I could have just spent the benny to get out of shaken instead of re-rolling the Spirit. Sometimes in the heat of the moment you forget things! ;)
@@MeMyselfandDieRPG happens to me all the time! It's one of the difficulties of solo role-playing, having to fill in the role of GM and Player as well. Thanks for the clarification :)
Does the mini at 23:19 really blink red or was that just a fortunate alignment of a camera’s red light?
Why be afraid of ghosts when you can be afraid of LONG HAIRED HUMAN WOMEN
Another water trap! (although they avoided it); and a man downing with no water anywhere in sight!!! The watery ways of the world of Simon continue. Glad they were able to cashier the Necromancer and destroy the temple (though it may have been an historic site well worth preserving).
Does the mini at 23:17 or so really blink red or was that just a fortunate alignment of a camera’s red light?
A fortunate and purposeful camera placement ;)
🎲 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 🎲
Is it a lich?
How was the number of skeletons determined?
Randomly! 🤪
21:15 So….he’s totally not a lich….lol
One thing I've noticed with this series is that while the game is run by just one person, he has far too many allies he has to manage in the game. I kind of wonder if that doesn't tax a fella a bit. In the past I've run into a similar problem and it's part of the reason I gave up on solo RPGing. In fact, these days I've been on the hunt for a decent setting to run as well as building adventures where I can *avoid* needing to have a large group of allies. Yes, it makes it harder to have meaningful conversations and actually "role play" but to me it seems like it would be a major chore. I'm curious what others thinks...?
Interesting. I didn’t feel I had too many allies. In fact, the SW system is designed to help players handle large groups of allies with minimal fuss. The only reason things got more complex sometimes is that I wound up promoting 2 allies into fully fledged PCs. That was my choice, to give them more mechanical weight based on their input into the “story thus far”. But it’s not required. Keeping Arne and Edbert as standard allies was always an option. I just thought they deserved a little more flesh on their bones.
@@MeMyselfandDieRPG I didn't mean to come across like I was attacking your decisions. And, yes, four characters really isn't that many. I guess it's just different from what I'm wanting out of a solo RPG and is part of the reason I'm having a hard time picking a setting or a character, cause I know I'm going to probably have to build additional characters to tackle obstacles. Perhaps I've read too many comic books where the protagonist goes it completely alone with some side characters and supporting cast, but no additional partners, per se. Again, just different from what you've done here. And I'm definitely enjoying your story for sure.
I am curious though how the next season is going to turn out if you're going over to Ironsworn. I took a look at it but it really didn't fit what I was looking for even though it's *the* solo RPG to play. Very dark in tone. I'm sure I could lighten it up some, especially with the world builder aspect. The game kind of reminds me of the video game, King of Dragon Pass quite a bit. Both games really focus on having input on the setting itself and the events that occur before even starting play. I'm looking forward to see what you go with. I had been showing my kids your videos but by episode episode 12, I think it was, you posted that the story was for mature audiences. And with the ghost in there, I definitely can see that. Anyways, I don't know how season 1 ends yet as I'm just starting on season 2, but when I get to the end of season 1 I might be asking if Simon ends up in the Ironsworn world or if you just start over.
Anyways, I'll see you at that point. Thanks for listening and for giving me feedback to what you were thinking. Sorry for the long response.
@@christophercobb8008 Hey no worries! I'm just glad you like the show :) Yeah, Ironsworn is darker... but it's really good for one character travelling alone (or sort of... I have an idea how Season 2 will start, but it'll really be up to the dice). As for the "mature content" thing, I'll leave that up to you to decide if the material is too much for your kids - but I'd hazard a guess that its probably fine. You'll have to watch through to the end to see for yourself though!
@@trevordevall2773 I can definitely understand why you went with Ironsworn and to make the second season solely from that book and its sourcebook, Delve. I watched another CZcamsr, Adam Keubal (I'm probably butchering his last name, guy with pink hair and a red beard, can't miss him in a crowd) go over the world building in his own review of Ironsworn and it took him well over an hour or so to get that done. Course, he was taking feedback from his followers and I felt that was a good idea. So, the setting has legs and it's one of the better ones I have found cause *you* basically flesh it out, kind of like King of Dragon Pass, and get to determine all the particulars. I find settings to be the hardest thing to nail down cause there's always going to be something you really like and stuff you just find a "no go," and unfortunately, far too many have those "no go"'s baked into the setting, so...off to the next. Part of me thinks I could lighten the disposition of the setting up considerably, cause there's enough darkness in our world without venturing into another land just to be reminded of that. Course, that's what I'd want and I'm in the minority for sure. All that aside, I definitely like the amount of setting control you have with it. I didn't get into the meats and potatoes of the setting, but I'm assuming you have otherwise why would you base the second season entirely upon the game? Thanks for listening and thanks for the thoughtful responses that go beyond, "thanks," or what have you. I get that most content creators are usually busier than one armed wall paper hangers, but taking the time to reply back in a thoughtful way really does make guys like me want to come back for more. Creates a community, versus buying a product. Alright, that's enough out of me for now. Thanks again for the fun adventures and I'm REALLY looking forward to season 2.

Kinda surreal to think you are about to learn about COVID...
