      I enjoy them, but I also enjoyed David Letterman the year he hosted. Most people did not like it, (or was it just Oprah?), but I enjoyed Letterman's entire monologue.

    It's true, Steve Martin's first movie was as a poor black child in 'The Jerk', one of my favourite movies of all time.

      +Richie A I don't think many people got the joke. The woman behind Gabby (her mother?) obviously loved it. I think THE JERK is popular in the black community. My brother used to have some black naval buddies, and they loved it. That's how I first watched it. It was their recommendation when we sat down to watch a movie.

    I didn't get the 6:50 "And [James Cameron] reciprocated by sending [ex-wife Kathryn Bigelow] a Toyota" gag. So I did some Googling - at the time of the Oscars, Toyota was recalling some of their models.
    So for anyone else who didn't get it, now you know.

    This. Is. Comedy. Gold. I've seen this clip so many times - it still makes me laugh. I especially love the laugh at the very end, "Who else is nominated for best actor. -- Well there's...." and then that soft chuckle from a camera man or something.
    Steve Martin had to have been the one to write this.

    How does Meryl Streep stay so gorgeous and glowing?She's been at the Oscars probably more than anyone in that room and she always manages to look so beautiful and fresh.Amazing woman.

      I'm 43 and I loooove Robert Duvall! He's a class act..a regular guy you could sit down at any local coffee shop or pub and have a real conversation with-- not like some other actors who only want to promote themselves..Duvall strikes me as a real peaceful, humble guy who values family and quiet moments.
