Successful Exterior Door Varnish

I varnished this door 17 years ago (2003). It has finally required a refinish. I used a Norwegian boat varnish that I was introduced to when restoring the Indiana State Capital building in 1987. It is a difficult (and more expensive) finishing process, but I have never seen another system for exterior varnish near as good as this 'Deks Olje' varnish system, and I've been in the woodworking business now for well over 50 years. I know of the efficacy of boat varnish generally, but I've not heard of the Deks Olje varnish specifically, would love to see a followup video on it. For instance, what's the backstory on how it was first discovered? What are the ingredients and formulation? Or is it a product you have to buy? Thanks for an very informative video, Stanley. 😎👍🏼
