    This is very educational, thank you for the interesting videos. I was in the process of staining my staircase, after ripping off the dingy carpeting that was on it. I didn't really know what I was doing, but I did know what I wanted. Thank goodness I came across your videos. They are so easy to follow and I learned exactly what I needed to complete my staircase to look professional instead of what probably would have looked like a half finished attempt at my desired goal. I look forward to more such videos as my next project is to paint my stained kitchen cupboards white.

    Thank you Mister! This is very helpful explanation even for many of us who are not from UK or US. In my country shellac is super rare to find or for example varnish is sold under name lacquer here. And many CZcams videos from UK or US are hard to understand what kind of wood finishes are they talk about. Now I finally know what varnish and stain are supposed to be here in my country. :) Very well explained!
