Very much appreciated! It takes a lot of time to produce reviews and I am glad to hear when they help out.

On the plosive test you were further away from the MV7X than the BA 85a. That is not a fair comparison. Other than that this is an informative review of all of the mics. Thanks !!

Well done. Good video. This video, definitely, can give someone the relative idea of what sounds like, and for what purpose they might use it.

Wow! No wonder I love the BA-85A so much... I love SM57s on vocals!!!

These really deliver above their price...add XM8500 to the list as well...Cheers!

Just my opinion, but Behringer really shows how much Shure is overcharging people. Great CZcams channel BTW.

Thanks! Behringer does often show what can be done for an affordable price... I have been really impressed with a number of the synths as well.

Sounds good as long as it never, ever leaves the stand. If you're going to hold it, the xm8500 seems like the winner to me - cheaper, similar sound, and more reasonable handling noise.

I agree, handling noise is an issue with many "handheld" vocal mics (regardless of price) and I do like the XM8500 as well. At the time of recording, the BA-85A was actually about 10 usd less than the XM8500, but prices fluctuate all the time. Either one is a great choice, the XM8500 is a bit darker, the BA-85A is a bit brighter, and in the end it comes down to which mic best fits the voice. The mic I go to most often for minimal handling noise is the sE V7, but it is a more expensive option.

    Hi.
Would you please review Audio Technica MB 1 KB dynamic microphone in comparison with this Behringer BA 85 A?
A bunch of thanks in advance.

I will try to get one in for review. They are currently unavailable in my region (Canada), but I will make a few inquiries. Thanks for the suggestion.

If people are interested in how this mic sounds with singing, here's a short clip where I present the sound of this mic with EQ and reverb, and also without any processing. czcams.com/video/kBiz8rKc6MY/video.html
