  • BUYING A CAR ! Be Ready to be POOR | No.1 Wealth Killer | GiGL |Car makes you Poor..
Yeh hai India ki one of the most popular car fortuner, Ek saal me almost 11k fortuners bikti hai and 40 lakh iski average buying price hai. But shocking baat toh ye hai ki iss 40 lakh me se 18 lakhs toh government sirf taxes me le jaati hai aur yahi nahi isse bhi jada shocking baat toh ye hai ki Toyota company ko apni ek fortuner se sirf 40000 ka profit hota hai.
Isi tarah agar mai aapse kahu ki agar aap 7 lakh ki Maruti Swift kharidte hai toh actually me ye aapko 13.5 lakhs ki padegi, ab aap sab soch rahe honge ye mai kya bol raha hu
Ji haa ye bilkul sach hai aur, Aaj ki video me ham yahi janne ki koshish karenege ki kaise car aapki wealth ko destroy kar rahi hai aur sath hi me yeh bhi dekhenge ki kaise car ki buying price aur ise run karne ki actual cost kitni zyada hoti hai.

Even if u have financial strength, this video is actually educating you to ask urself, is it useful. If I spend total of 13lacks in 5 yrs for a small car, can I do business more efficiently resulting in a better income? If ur interested only in transport, then don't buy. If u really need a comfortable transport, then buy 2nd hand which reduces cost hugely. If u use only once a month or rarely for vacations and stuff, just rent a car. Probably a luxurious car for few days and enjoy. It saves money than buying a new budget car

    Issues with renting a car:
    1) You cannot enjoy your trip fully as you have to travel with stranger
    2) You have pre-determined time and you can't spend more time at any place if you want
    3) If you want to stay at a place for a day or two they will charge hault and you have to also pay for the drivers stay , lunch , dinner
    4) Suppose I want to go from point A to B but I don't want to return to point A then they will charge double the distance between A and B because they have to return without passengers to point A
    5) In case of Emergency it will take some time to arrange a car
    6) You cannot have unplanned trips
So if you can afford a car definitely go for it but don't overspend to just show off or luxury...

    1. Saving rate. This single KPI can ensure you are on the top of the finances irrespective of how much wealth you have. Starting from 15-20% and taking it to 50-60% (along with common investment instruments)
    2. As is mentioned by the gentleman in the interview, indulge youself with the interest and not with the principal (especially in the early part of wealth creation)

Reason why you have to buy car. -
    But agar gaddi nhi lete-
    i have to travel by ola , uber + surcharge -+ 30*commission (ola /uber) + 18%gst
    An indian daily travel 35km
Per km charge -15rs per km
    Daily spending- =35*15=525
    Yearly =525*365= 1,91,625 (approx ) 2lakh
    5yearly = 10lakh (fuel price constant)
If you sell the car -after 5years you will get 4lakh back here in case you will get anything.
    >You cant keep the luggage ,late night or odd hours cant travel, no privacy. 5family members cant travel together, dirty cars, ac not working, you cant keep hygiene, everytime you have to waste 10-15mins for waiting (wastage of time ), and many
So i will choose my own car.

You always make choices in life.
Buying a car at a time in life can lead to memories which are priceless.
You can visit places at times without having to plan a lot.
It's not the car that makes you poor but what you want to do and the choices you make based on your priorities.
It's that informed choice. Not based on mathematics alone.
But taking time into consideration as well.
Because you will be able to save a bit and reach that financial goal.
But time my dear friend once gone will not come back.
I don't think any amount of money can give me the joy I feel when I go somewhere in my car with my wife and my parents.
I believe ultimately it's the happiness that you see in your loved ones that counts.
But then why does everybody keep making such videos ?
    - Because it is easier to explain numbers than emotions.
And aren't we all becoming like machines who prioritise numbers over emotions.
Just to be clear I bought a pre-owned car last year rather than waiting for another 1-2 years to buy a new one.
Because time my dear friend is of the essence.

    I think it's best to buy a used car/motorcycle.
    reasons:
    1) you can get it the next day. no waiting period
    2) You can get a 4-5 YO car for half the price
    3) You can customize it as much as you want since it does not affect the waranty
    4) you do not like it, you can sell it off without losing much money, sometimes you will be able to sell it for the same price as you bought it if its a discontinued model
Preferably buy the car from the owner of the vehicle, not a dealer. Dealers charge too much commission.
Only reason anyone should buy a new car is if:
    1) you are a businessman and want to claim GST

Well i disagree on not buying a car concept
Having a car can actually motivate you to do better and enjoy in the process
But you need to scarifice on other things
      1. When buying a car.. use the 2X formula.. buy once if you can afford the car twice.. so i.e find what is the maximum car you can buy in the market.. calculate the on-road price then divide by 2 .. the value that comes it what you need to spend on buying a car(many people go for a car that the bank can finance thinking with future salary they can pay afterwards.. do the present calculation not future calcualtion
      2. Don't buy apple products until you are a crorepati(oneplus provides enough performance)
      3. Try to do courses to increase your skills and salary
      4. When you get a hike of 50% .. don't hike your spending by 50%.. instead 20% hike in spending is more then enough
      5. Invest the additional money in savings(or invest in index funds if not good at stocks)
      6. Only buy a car when you can save atleast 20% of your salary after car emi and fuel cost..
      7. Second hand cars can be a dangerous investment as you don't know the previous owner has done to the car.. also aim for a safe car too.. as life is more important then money invested in unsafe cars to save money. Also if you want a second hand car.. don't go for anything older then 2 years or so.. in highways a tyre brust or braking failure can take your life or can cause serious injuries to you and your family for saving money. Features like ABS or elecrtronic stability or ADAS can actually save yours and yours family lives.

Tax rules for car in India is nightmare for both customer and manufacturers. Because of that, luxury is just a dream for middle class. No wonder why automobile companies are leaving India.

Automobile companies are leaving India because of poor performance not because of taxes. Despite all the taxes, more than 40 lakhs passenger vehicles were bought in India in 2023. That is almost a 9 percent increase in sales from 2022. The industry is performing perfectly fine. Brands like Ford or Chevrolet left India because of their poor planning and inability to adapt to the market.

    • @mehulpandya6715
      @mehulpandya6715 Před 4 měsíci

      @@vanlandings7466 hey,
Numbers are good, but you can also look at this way. 2020-21 people were suffering From corona, 2022 economy was in recovery phase. 2023- economy was in booming phase. Not only cars, but the purchase of everything was increased. And yes, there are other factors involved but major factors are tax. that's why Most of the sold are in less than 4 meter length category. And because of the price sensitive market of India, OEMs are focused on cost cutting. That's why I clearly mentioned the word 'luxury'. Just take the list of top 10 selling cars of India from your 40L cars. And if you dig down to the models, you'll realise that most of the cars sold in the top 10 are not even providing a touch screen display and digital console in their base model. I wonder if they are even providing Air begs in the base model. And you know most of the cars in that list are from Suzuki and they have a very poor safety rating. Most of the Indians buying cars are worth more than their half of annual income. Still they are getting very very basic features. Owning a car, worth of them don't give them true luxury. And in addition to this. In the country of nearly 1.4 billion. 40L (4 Million) is still nothing.
Just to give you perspective of the difference-
A million seconds is 12 days. A billion seconds is 31 years

  • @rohitrout1103

That's why I'll suggest always buy a 2nd hand car which is around 2-4 years old, this way you're getting a car which is in good condition almost new and the best part is it'll cost you very less as compared to a brand new car. For example if you're gonna buy a brand new honda city it'll cost you around 15 - 16 lakhs but if you buy a 2nd hand honda city which is around 2 - 3 years old you'll get it around 7-8 lakhs and now you can invest the money you saved in FD, PPF, Stocks or buying assets. Remember the people who are actually rich dosen't care what others think about them but the people who are not rich will always think about impressing others and will buy things which they can't afford. I mean it's not like you should always buy a 2nd hand car, you can buy a 1st hand car but only when you're at that level.

    TLDR:
    1. Do not buy on loans. If you can afford try to buy atleast half upfront.
    2. Also take maintenance into account. No one wants to have a white elephant. If you are very serious with point 1 then this should not be a problem.
    3. Stick to your budget and try to not get persuaded by salesman to buy top trims. (Not a problem if you can easily afford)

Bhai , I.want to clear the confusion regarding tax structure., the cess is collected in the GST amount not in basic amount, for example
Car basic rate is Rs 5,00,000
    GST 28%. Rs. 1,40,000
    Cess 17%
    (GST 1,40,000*17%) Rs 23,800
    Total. Rs 6,63,800
    This the tax calculation bhai

    • @Awarenessspreadkaro

The cess calculation u r doing is wrong, the way u calculated is as per income tax where a person had to pay 4% cess on tax amount. But for GST cases like cars. Cess is calculated on car IDV value and not on tax amount. I work in CA firm so I know this.
