  • The full album newly digitised from an original 1985 cassette, in mostly outstanding quality (if I say so myself), played back on a 1990 Technics RS-B765 tape deck, captured with Audacity software. No processing etc, this is exactly as it came from the cassette.
No copyright infringement intended. All copyright remains with the Sievey family, I just wanted this to be out there for everyone to hear

Huge thanks for uploading this, really turned my exasperating day around. And agreed, the sound quality is outstanding, excellent job on the tape transfer! Chris/Frank's recordings are wonderful examples of really "going for it" in terms of fervent self-expression...now I must go watch Mr. Sidebottom lead a crowd chant version of Hit the North...priceless.

This was one of a set of 5 cassettes that Chris sold through his newsletter (and Frank's newsletter), numbered ETS1 to ETS5. I think they were £2.50 each. I have them all. This one is the best though. It deserves to be more widely known

@@TimMcNulty thank you, what were the other ones? I only know of the Studio Outtakes cassette being released as an ETS

      @@occhidinuvola1120 there were 5:
ETS 1 - The Johnny Radar Story
ETS 2 - Frank Sidebottom: Frank's Firm Favourites
      ETS 3 - Early Razz
      ETS 4 - Studio Outtakes
      ETS 5 - Denigration Now
I've got a copy of each but I believe that the copy of Denigration Now I have is an unusual one, with side 2 filled with demos. It might be the only copy in existence like this

@@TimMcNulty I hope you will properly archive that copy of Denigration Now and share copies with both the Sievey family and Archives+ in Manchester.
Thank you for sharing this record - it was such a mystery to me for so long, and I think I missed the times when downloads were offered as part of the "Being Frank" kickstarter campaign. I was fortunate enough to meet Chis Sievey once, at the last show he played in New York. It was of a great signifigance to myself. Chris may have been happy about it too - I think the show I booked was the last time I've heard of that he performed a Freshies song in concert, sans Frank mask. (He also performed a Freshies song that night as Frank.)
Do you have the earlier version of the All Sleeps Secrets tapes? I hope that the Sievey family can find a good label to reissue his Freshies and solo work, there is so much of it and it is all so amazing. The Cherry Red comp is good, but not enough to communicate the scope of his songwriting.
What an amazing record - or tape, actually. Thank you.
