Dr. G Balamurali is an internationally trained spinal neurosurgeon with 26 years of total surgical experience, 16 years from the UK. He is extensively trained in all niche aspects of spinal surgery having worked in the UK, USA, and Switzerland. His special interests are in minimally invasive and complex spine surgery, spinal cord tumors, trauma, and pediatric spine surgery.
He is also interested in academics, research, and training with a research degree from Cambridge University, UK. He is appointed as an Adjunct Professor of Spine and Neurosurgery from Bharat University, Chennai. He has received several awards. Some of them to mention are the best contribution to society award from Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam for working with persons with Spinal Cord Injury, the Best Doctor award from the Tamil Nadu Government, and very recently selected as "one of the 50 influential persons of Chennai 2020".
