Not a baby mama but my guess are: baby fever, the desire to be pregnant and/or to be a mom, biological clock, the desire to pass on wisdom,.and maternal instincts. Even though I am childless (not child free), I also had a strong desire to have children when I was in my 20s. But, logic kicked in! I did.not have the money and the right man to have a child with. So, now I am 46 and glad I am childless. I guess things happen for a reason.
