Trifoiler 41 Sailing in Sarasota Bay w/GoPro HD on top of the mast, Nov 10th, 2012

- Sailing my Hobie Trifoiler #41 in Sarasota Bay, FL off City Island. This was the first time I mounted the GoPro HD video camera on the very top of one of the masts facing down. The camera was set to capture video in HD 1280x720 at 60fps. The day did not look all that promising while we were rigging the boat, but as you will see from the video, I did manage to get some very good sailing in, and several high speed runs. Captured some pretty impressive views from high up the mast.

I hope that in the next video you can put a camera on your helmet to combine 2 cameras and to see how in the water is elevated
while I will continue working on my Melges 17 to try something similar

surprising how dinky the foils are! intuitively I'd imagine foils with a greater span?
I have to be honest, the music really sucks!!!!
Put a 10k pricetag and this thimg would SELL nowdays
ok lets visit reality , the rider i am sure has to be very light and one log in the path and its all over and here come expensive repairs
Im sure its rated for weight like all watercraft and probably has like a 350-600 lb capacity..but yeah, protected clean waters look like a must with any submerged objects devastating

where do you get the worst music I have ever heard. Would have been good but need to turn the sound off. Bad bad music
way too hard to watch, didnt know what was going on, that music is so bad . i thought they stopped making that noise in the 80s.
