God help those who toke decisions in a crisis situation and God punish those who are simply standing around, complaini g and accusing others for their "wrong doing"; what a cheap and discraceful mentality.
There were several reports from the victims saying that the Islamic Hamas attackers were speaking in Hebrew. They probably also dressed like them in order to infiltrate. I think this is why people said that there was no response- perhaps IDF guards also thought that these terrorist imposters were Yamam swat. Only a few terrorists were reported to not kill but instead, their mission was to take hostages. Those hostages (females, especially) were spoken about between terrorists in code, and referred to as "horses", with a sinister, sexual connotation.
Islamic Hamas terrorists definitely tried to pass themselves off as soldiers, and this was witnessed by many of the survivors of the attack on October 7th.

of course. they passed through military bases on their way to residential areas, looting these bases and changing into Israeli military uniforms and gear. but when you look closer at the footage, you can identify them as terrorists, because they put on Israeli military uniforms and gear incorrectly, not the way an IDF soldier would wear them. but it worked for them at the distance, or in the panic, for the first moment. it’s also proven, with evidence, that before the operation they memorized certain phrases in Hebrew in order to communicate and had papers with them, with these phrases and their translations. some also learned Hebrew in schools and training camps, or, in case of workers, during their visits. it’s also easier for the Arabs to learn Hebrew than for the Hebrew-speakers to learn Arabic, due to certain linguistic specificities of the two languages. Hebrew is much more logical and clearly structurized, hence, easier for the Arabic-speakers to learn than relatively more vague and confusing Arabic for the Hebrew-speakers.

I have been fiercely defending Israel against criticism that Israel caused casualties on Oct7, not only is this an awful tragedy for these individuals its a betrayal of Israel and their allies.
I don’t see it that way, how could the IDF in all that confusion not have hurt a single civilian?! A stray bullet etc that is not the point, the point is that every decision made by Israel and its people was to save as many lives as possible, to resist and expel a superior force with a well planned out assault. It’s tragic but war is tragic. During ww2 the allies had to bomb France to prepare D-day, they were afraid that the French would take grievance but the French resistance said to the allies (much to their surprise) : it’s war we have to accept that people are going to die. Israel was attacked and it is at war, and we cannot judge the army’s actions that day because they all tried and made decisions as best they could to save lives. It’s very sad, and it must be very hard for a people that believes that saving a life it’s like saving the world, to know that our decisions and actions didn’t save everyone and that you hurt people. They were put in a situation were all control was lost and only left people making life or death decisions for hours and hours. It’s not a bretrayal it’s a sign of strength that they are talking about this.

I’m sure I’m not the only one struck by the remarkable contrast between these Israeli soldiers and their enemies, who intentionally put civilians in harm’s way and _want_ to get them killed.
These Israeli soldiers tormented by regret and guilt because, in the confusion of battle, their actions led to the deaths of some of the hostages they were trying to rescue.
Of course, we know they are not to blame. They did not bring that vicious attack to Be’eri. They were risking their lives to save civilians; Hamas and its allies are the cause.
On the other side, Hamas and the other terrorists use human shields to protect their weapons and fighters, knowing Israel will go to enormous lengths to minimize harm to civilians.
Unless one was there with information gained from other hostage situations, realizing this is NOT the time for second-guessing ones' self, no one, I repeat, NO ONE can judge the decision nor the actions taken by IDF on that fateful day nor any time after.
My prayers are for the immediate return of all hostages, and a speedy and complete IDF victory,

I did see a fascinating vid here of 13 different elder Palestinian Arabs, one of them Mahmoud Abbas actually, all talking about how it was the Arab leaders who told them to leave in 1948, with varying reports that it would only take a few hours, a day or two, or no longer than two weeks, sit tight before they would defeat the Jewish armies and murder enough civilians for it to be ready for Palestinians to come back home to a land completely ethnically cleansed of Jews. They were that confident they were going to win, but instead had their a**es handed to them and the poor Palestinians lost out. Officially, around about 130-150,000 Palestinians were 'expelled' by the Israelis (and that would be mostly households/militants who lived on Israeli borders, in an effort to create something of a safe zone against the Arab militants who wanted to kill them). The other 600,000 either fled in fear or were told to leave by their leaders, on assurance they would soon return. There are archived records showing newspaper announcements and radio announcements were made in Arabic to the local Arab population to leave, and that their war would all be over in a jiffy.
Did you ever bother to learn about the 850-900,000 Jews who were expelled from all the neighbouring Arab countries in 1948 after the Arab League declared war on Israel the day after it was established? Some call it the Forgotten Exodus. Jews were forced to leave the countries they called home, like Iraq (Baghdad used to be 25% Jewish, did you know?), Syria, Lebanon, Egypt, Yemen, Algeria, Tunisia, Morocco - all cast out under threat of death by the Muslim Arab leaders. Why? Simply, because they were Jews and the Arabs did not want them and refused to 'tolerate' them any longer. This is why Israel is the only Middle Eastern country with any more than a handful or a few families of Jews. It wasn't always thus. They committed no massacres in those countries and started no wars. But of course, it's always the descendants of those Palestinians who get to play the victims while the surviving Jews are just meant to shut up and die. Funny how pro-Palestinians like to sweep these 850,000+ souls under the carpet though (a full 150,000 more than your Nakba, funnily enough around about the same amount who were officially expelled from the Mandate territory). I'm sure they don't teach that bit of history in UNWRA schools though.
The Nakba was awful, but it was a direct consequence of the genocidal inclinations of the Arab leadership at the time. It's well past the due date for Palestinians now to reconcile themselves with that truth, and stop blaming the Jews or the Israelis for everything that's wrong with their lives. I understood the concept of HATRED for the first time when I saw how the “Israelis” openly and happily celebrated the slaughter of thousands of Palestinian babies, dropping thousands of tons of bombs on them, carpet bombing a besieged population that was caged for over seven decades in the world’s largest open air prison, not like animals, but as subhumans. Mahmoud Abbas, PLO, etc are Jewish sell-outs. So let’s get to the point.
Throughout history, going back 6000 years, all of Europe had persecuted and genocided the Jews. It was the Arab and Muslim lands that gave protection and safety to the Jews. It was Islam that saved the Jewry. There are currently thousands of Jews living in the UAE, Morocco, Iran, etc. The Holocaust combined with Zionism, forced the Jews back to the promised land. The Palestinians welcomed the Jewish refugees with open arms. The Palestinians had occupied the land for thousands of years. Where did you expect them to go? The renowned Jewish Professor, Avi Shlaim, has proper evidence that the Mossad would bomb Jews in Iraq and other Middle Eastern countries in order to force the Jews to return to the Holy Land. This historical evidence is documented. Nobody wants the Jews to shut up and die. To the contrary, the Muslims have always given protection and security to the Jews when the civilised Europeans would persecute them.
I do not know what they teach at the UNRWA schools. But I do know what they teach kids at Jewish schools. That Arabs are subhuman, goyim, trash, less than animals……black and non-European. That is why the Palestinian Arabs were kept in the biggest open air prison in GAZA. You might want to check with Nurit Peled and Miko Peled, both are Israelis.

2. I see HATRED and malice, when thousands of Palestinian villagers were executed and buried in mass graves, since 1948, by the “Israelis”. Men were castrated by the Jewish gangs.

6. Rachel Corrie, Shirin Abu Akleh and Aaron Bushnell did not die in VAIN. They are our true MARTYRS.
7. I see HATRED and racism when “Israelis” rape young Palestininan girls and babies, which was happening to Palestinians long before October 7.
8. I see HATRED and racism when Palestinians are not allowed to walk and drive on the same streets as the “Israelis”.
9. I see HATRED and racism at the manner in which the “Israeli” soldiers brutalise and oppress Palestinians, including elderly men and women, on a daily basis. Hitting them, smashing them, pushing them, shoving them, kicking them, banging them, slapping them, …….without any provocation on their part. Elderly Palestinian men and women are dragged across the streets. Perhaps, you are in denial.
10. I see HATRED and racism when “Israelis” defeacate and urinate in Palestinian homes and in Masjidul Aqsa. And other private and public spaces that belong to the Palestinians.
11. I see HATRED and cruelty when “Israeli” soldiers brutalise children as young as 2 years, including young girls. And then imprison them without a charge.
12. I see HATRED and barbarity when the “Israeli” soldiers unlawfully arrest Palestinians and rape the women, as a first step. What a shame and stain and blot on Humanity.
13. I see HATRED and theft when the “Israelis” unlawfully occupied and continue to occupy Palestinian homes, homes they lived in for thousands of years. e.g. an elderly couple from Brooklyn, who have no roots in “Israel”, are illegally occupying the home of an elderly Palestinian couple.
