    THANK YOU!!! We had terrible scale build up and tried everything. The toilet wasn’t flushing properly and looked terrible. I was ready to replace the toilet. This was my last effort before calling a plumber for a total replace. This was so easy and worked AMAZING. Thank you thank you thank you. And your video was short and sweet and to the point.

    How do you clean it deep into the toilet bowl...not just what you can see in the bowl itself? The problem is what you can't fit your brush or hands into for cleaning out the mineral deposits.

    Thank you! One recommendation, when finished and before flushing, put at least 3 tablespoons of baking soda into the acid water to neutralize the acid before flushing it into the city drain.

    How do you prevent it from forming in the tank? I have mineral deposits in the tank.

    • @FIXITHomeImprovementChannel

      Hi, you can regularly pour vinegar into the tank to help remove and prevent a buildup of minerals. There are products you can put into the toilet tank that help prevent deposits. You can also put in a water softener to reduce minerals.

    Ok i live on the coast of NC and have well water with water softener & use the salt that helps with irony water. My water is again well water heavy on the iron and even heavier on the limescale. I do not use any kind of toilet tank drop-ins because they are usually bleach and I have to use TheWorks Toilet Bowl Cleaner to get the rust stains & I once mixed them together and almost killed myself in a windowless bathroom. Anyway The works & water softener work perfectly for everything BUT the limescale.
    My question is what the heck can I do to get the limescale ring and waterfall lines removed WITHOUT using a toilet pumice stone?
    My stepfather made me and only me scrub all the toilets in our house with same issues except no softener every week for 6 years age 6-12. So these toilets will get smashed and replaced before I'll ever have a toilet pumice stone in my house let alone my hand again!
    I've tried the other Lyme stuff too but that doesn't work as good as TheWorks does...
    Also as I said before I almost killed myself with chemical mixing so I don't use anything to scrub my showers and tubs that could mix & kill me plus neither have windows (I know it does suck).. I do like using (I know this is crazy) orange bottle FastOrange pumice hand cleaner because the smell isn't fumie and it gets the limescale off easy but you gotta be gentle as possible on the tub and shower cause it can scratch.. but it doesn't scratch porcelain.... WAIT I bet if I scoop the water out of the toilets I could use the FastOrange in them and it's not the Pumice stone soo.... I'm gonna try it and I'll be right back .. hold on..............,...............

    Better than CLR? comparison?

    • @FIXITHomeImprovementChannel
      @FIXITHomeImprovementChannel  Před 3 lety +3

      Hi Pro, hydrochloric acid is stronger than CLR. When I owned hardware stores, hydrochloric acid is what maintenance companies would use to clean public urinals and toilets to remove the buildup of minerals and uric scale.

      @wifeofhusband9378 Před 3 lety +5

      CLR didn’t work on ours at all, even when left over night and a lot of elbow grease used. This worked amazingly and so so easy.

      @@wifeofhusband9378CLR, Line away, none of that works. I let it sit overnight and it doesn't work.
