Spies will not stop at murder in their attempts to wrest a secret formula for a deadly poison away from American scientists. - Krátké a kreslené filmy
I have abandoned "TV" for many years now. My sole entertainment comes from CZcams uploads such as this. Thank you!
+David Rice Same here!
+tamonettX500 me too
My TV is nothing more than a "monitor" for my DVD player. I love movies, can't STAND commercials and TV garbage
Immature to bring up politics on a movie site!
Instead we have to read the crap that you whine about!
Anna Sten was superb in this film. It is mystifying that she didn't become a bigger star than she was.
thank you, for this movie. you really miss the way movies were made, and how enjoyable the actors were and the stories, that were written for these movies.
I do not even own a TV. I watch good old fashioned movies like this one.
I gave up my idiot box, boob tube (TV) ten years ago and prefer movies and television pre 1960. Also I haven't entered a movie theatre since 1981, I always found their seats the most uncomfortable in the modern world giving me numb bum within 30 minutes. The last movie I saw in a theatre was Paul Simon's One Trick Pony.
I will always give any movie a chance if it has Jerome Cowan in it!!!
Thank you Pizza Flix. Like many others here, I voluntarily gave away my TV, too much brainwashing. Love these old movies, they have their own kind of propaganda but it's much gentler. Good show.
I got a smart TV so I can watch these on the big screen! TVs are way different now...you can watch things from online..streaming and all...lol
Love these old movies. NO special effects, NO violence, NO expensive, unrealistic stunts , NO gaudy costumes, NO computerized sequences, etc.
But plain good old DIALOGUE, PLOT , and a MORAL LESSON.
At 1:08:22 The oldest trick in the book, and those thugs fell for it.
James Wade was in charge of wardrobes.🦹
That leading man was so handsome & what a hoot! that supporting actor(reporter) was!!
These old shows beat the pants off if the new stuff. Special effects vs stories and charm,
I enjoy most of that there is no profanity and immorality being portrayed. Also there is a real respect for God that sadly has slipped away from today's generation. Jesus is coming again
@@sheristewart3940 Family and Religion are the foundation of every society, culture, and nation.
@@davidtong2776 Amen!
Thanks again Pizza Flix. You really have some good movies here. Like others, I don't watch TV.
I love UTUBE--just wish there were more films ; I am running out of them right about now. Compared to TV, UTUBE is a blessing.
There are hundreds of great old FOREIGN FILMS. Most have English sub-titles. If they don't you an still get a good idea of what the film is about. The is also iTV which as a lot of great programs in CZcams.
@Lily Tyler, I seem to run short of movies but CZcams keeps popping up some that I never saw. Speaking of CZcams, I think I'm going to call it UberTube, which I'm sure has occurred to lots of folks.
AMEN!

BBC radio plays are great too
This is a good movie, with a good story! The characters were charming. I really liked the inn keeper! That actor did an excellent job! That character was someone I would like to meet in real life!
You have good taste!
The doctor I just love his acting seen him in a lot of old dramas great actor he is ! ❤️🙏🏽🇨🇦
This one has a surprisingly charming plot to it and I was impressed by the guy playing the reporter. He had real charm. Also the dance scene is sort of hilarious. But poor Nadine being constantly accosted by dudes and just sort of having to live with it...
Such a sweet movie, I love the story and the acting!!!
Thank-You!
Anna Sten is utterly charming. Her poise, and that accent...I found myself mesmerized. 🌹
This movie was a mystery and I enjoyed watching it.
Thanks for the upload PF
Ed
What a great actor Harry Davenport was. Everybody's favourite chucklesome grandpa, just a shame he was killed off so early in this film. Thanks so much for the upload
I always imagined him to be such a nice old gentleman like Britain's Henry Stephenson.
@@keithharvey7230 I agree totally, two actors I always enjoy watching
love these movies thank for posting
This was the last film for Grand National after 3 years of being an independent company where they did many of the films between 1936 through 1939.
Anna dancing,wow!
I love old movies either on here or on TCM when I have my TV connected.
Thank you PF, still "no" TV and still do not miss it.
Mary Wilder Ditto.
+MrUhwoody Double Ditto!!
+Mary Wilder same here, and the way computers are becoming this about the only thing they are good for.
+Mary Wilder same here
Movies are so bad that I just refuse to go to a theater-- I prefer TV or the computer.
Two good looking leads plus Jerome Cowan an entertaining romp thanks for posting.
I had low expectations, but it turned out to be pretty good.
A good movie with the lead actress sounding right with her accent, not like most women in these films. Alan Marshal turned out to be handsome when they finally showed his face ! Thank you PF!
You want drop-dead handsome~ look into Sean Flynn, Errol's son's few films. He was a true-life adventurer, who ended up a photo-journalist, captured, and slaughtered in Cambodia during the Vietnam War. That boy had the best his parents had to offer, genetically!
Not a mystery, more of a comedic drama. Small bit of espionage, but mostly mishaps, comedy and romance. Enjoyed it. Thanks. :)
Talking pictures is a great way to watch all the old movie xx
The jitterbug routine was great!
I wish I knew who made the song she danced to. I'd like a copy
wacky lovely old school black and white. cant get over it.. love it
Enjoyable. What beautiful co/stars Alan and Anna. Thanks for posting it. People have to start taking hold of themselves. It is just a movie.
@25:50, I love the comedy of a 'hardened mobster' trying to relate to an intellectual radical.
That was a real GEM thank you ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Thanks for sharing this gem ...
Anna Sten (1908 - 1993) was a Ukranian-born actress who began in movies in the USSR before moving to Germany in 1928 where she made several films. She was noticed by American producer Samuel Goldwyn who brought her to the USA in 1932 in an attempt to make her a rival for Greta Garbo. After two years of teaching her English and film technique she appeared in three films for Goldwyn which were financial and critical flops and she was released from her contract. This movie was the first she made after the end of her Goldwyn contract and it too was a flop. It was made by the small studio Grand National Pictures which went broke that year (1939). Sten appeared in a few movies after that but none were successes and her last film appearance was in 1962.
How horrible that every movie she did was a flop.
@@pinkbeautytwinkle Yes, but she just wasn't meant to be an actress I think...

Glad you enjoyed it. Thanks for watching our channel.
Doesn't make sense? I was playing solitaire and had no trouble following it. As for not being realistic, I submit: Ironman, Terminator. Transformers.etc, etc. These old flicks have story, plot and DIALOG.
OMG I loved her dancing.

Pizza flakes is so amazing didn’t know what I would was missing thank you CZcams
That's what it means to be an American....she did it the right way and became an American and not by sneaking in, but by standing and taking the oath to her new country. Great movie too...
In the good old days, you didn't HAVE to sneak in. America used to have more liberal immigration laws, and actually WELCOMED the oppressed, the impoverished, the persecuted people from other countries seeking a better life in the Land of the Free.
Nowadays that's all changed.
Wasn't she sneaking into Canada for a sham marriage to return as an American bride?? Like #3?
@@shizukamori6755 You need to look into Americas past immigration policies. You have to go back into the mid 1800's to find a virtual open door immigration policy. When the big wave of immigration hit in the late 1800's, the country tightened up a fair bit, not as tight as it has been for the last half century.
Even today, though, more people are let into the U.S. than any other country, so it's not as tight as you made it sound. The U.S. is not as restrictive as some other countries.
And every country has a right to control who enters.

Lately I’ve been thinking when I was a kid I used to love all those monster movies n through the years I came to find out who was playing the monsters except for the MUMMY
Amusing little flick with an unusual plot. It also has the odious comic relief typical of the era, and a weird little moment when the female lead does a dance routine in front of some cops, which somehow convinces them she's not the girl they're looking for.
Great movie. Handsome guy.
Good ole pizzaflix. sometime the the movie is too blurred or too low a volumn.
Loved it .. ❤❤❤❤❤❤🌹
Shades of the 39 steps. But excellent. That's the thing they made decent movies back then.
I might as well add views on TV as others have, I got rid of my TV 15 years ago, would not take cable tv if it was given to me.

This is the Anna Sten Cole Porter wrote about in "Anything Goes"... She's not so terrible an actor, not so terrible a movie....
And so easy on the eyes!!!!
Anna Sten looks uncannily similar to
Marlene Dietrich in some scenes.
I see what you mean.
Is this the Anna Sten of Cole Porter's 'Anything Goes"?
Yes, it is!
Apparently, I watched this movie 3 years ago and made the same observation! "When Goldwyn can with great conviction/ Instruct Ana Sten in diction/then Ana Sten shows/Anything Goes!"

This storyline is actually based on the upside down process of the 1930s and 1940s.....
Once again a story about obnoxious newspaper hacks. Maybe this story gets better, but it is so dumb that I regret wasting nearly 20 minutes on it.
