- We’re spending the weekend in the bourbon capital of the world - Bardstown, KY! After a quick tour of the town jail that we spent the night in, we head out for dinner and drinks at the oldest bourbon bar in the world, and a delicious bourbon tasting! Then we finish up with some incredible sculptures at Bernheim Arboretum. Who would have thought Kentucky could be so much fun?!

We're Eric & Allison and we're on a journey to find the most interesting places and unique foods this planet has to offer! We've traded in our steady paychecks and permanent home for a life of travel and adventure. Come along and see the world with us!
Ok, I'm devastated. I thought you both stopped uploading for months - I'm still subbed, but you haven't been in my subscription feed for MONTHS! I'm so grateful I just looked up your channel to see if there were any updates. Now going to binge-watch the past few months worth of videos.
Oh bummer! Not sure why that happens 😭So glad you found us again, though!
Born & raised Kentuckian, always adventuring away from home. It’s so fun to see outsiders enjoying my home state!!
I love how you are highlighting the beauties in so many out of the way places in the US that "no-one" ever goes; you're always so curious and excited about discovering where you are, it's the best. :)
Kentucky is the most beautiful state. And the news says nothing
And we like it that way
The worst part of the week. "Goodbye Adventurers, we'll see you on the road". Now to wait another week. Thanks for the content guys
LOL loved the intro!!! Wishing you guys and everyone seeing this some more happiness and positivity for 2021!! ❤️❤️🙏
thanks you guys too!! I liked your new vid :)
@@cassiehunter448 thank you so much!!❤️
I'm impressed that that woman got even halfway out of that jail cell. Good effort!
Right?! She must have been teeny tiny!
Your enthusiasm is so infectious. Great vid guys 👍👏
As infectious as traveling around during a global pandemic?!?!
Omg y'all, I'm from Bardstown! May or may not have screamed a little when I saw the title and realized you all stayed at the Jailer's Inn. Glad you enjoyed your time! ...ps, all the traffic and noise is the semi-trucks that have to go through the roundabout to get to the distilleries, there's never been a bypass built around downtown which is what has kept it lively all these years. Enjoy your time in KY!
Watching you guys travel is part of my lockdown therapy here in the UK, glad to see you still getting about.
Every time I see you guys pop up as my first recommended video when I barley open the app makes my whole day 😭😭 I appreciate you guys so much !!!
This vlog gets a double shot of Bourbon from us😜👍👍
I was born in KY and the last time I was there I visited the Buffalo Trail Distillery. Very good Bourbon and Whiskey among other distilled Liquors.
Hey Eric, you should do a compilation of all of Allison's sayings plus her weird adjectives! 😂 "Maybe thats why they call it a chamber pot!" "Oh, it smells like all my desires" Shes too cute!!!
I’m from Louisville and it’s always amazing to see people visit Kentucky!!! Glad y’all got to go to Bernheim and see the forest giant sculptures!
From a native Kentuckian, props for saying Louisville correctly!
Wow guys you were in my home state of Kentucky just about 45 minutes from my hometown!! Hope your enjoying our beautiful bluegrass state🤗
Following you two makes our lives better 💕💕😀 love, Loni & Al
the food and whisky place look great the walking track looks beautiful to
I live 30 mins away! You need come to Loretto to see Maker’s Mark. It’s truly stunning!😍
Also sign up to be an Ambassador
Sadly Maker's Mark was closed while we were there. 😭We'll just have to come back 😉
Oh man! So jealous. My husband and I love whiskey and bourbon. My hubby is even an ambassador for Maker's Mark and has a barrel aging right now with his name on it! Loved seeing around Kentucky and can't wait to get there.
SO excited you all stopped in KY. Bourbon is the best!
Eyyyyyy! Welcome to Kentucky from up the road in Louisville!
You guys are sooo inspiring! Just LOVE your energy and enthusiasm! This jail reminds me of the one you stayed in Inveraray Scotland. Remember that? That was your first video I watched that inspired me to start my travel channel too! Sending loads of love xx
@Betsy Ruetz what did you mean? I’m inspired by them - not the jail
You had me at “bourbon” fun videos guys! So much history in Kentucky, thanks for taking us along!
You guys are so much fun to watch!!! I seriously watch your videos with so much inspiration and take-aways on how I can up my vlogs :) As always, thank you for being amazing!
Hahaha that intro was definitely a great one🤣🤣
NO WAY! I am from Bardstown! That’s awesome I never would of thought you guys would come here. I have been watching you guys for years. I work at the local Marriott in town if you guys ever come back we would love to have you
Love your sense of humor❣️
The thought of having to get buttered up to squeeze thru something is why I don't go down narrow water slides
Breath of fresh air. Happy 2021
What a wonderful historical tour of your travels. Outstanding job. Thanks for sharing this with us that watch your channel.
Wow! What fun, happiness, and joy. Awesome
I used to work at the Barton plant in California. This brings back memories! Lucky enough to have had a chance to visit one of the plants in KY as well.
Welcome to my home state! Great video as always ❤️
Thomas Dambo is such a great artist. His installations are in different places all over the world. Plus Bourbon 🥃 what a great trip
Glad you love my state. I live a scant 25 miles away from Bardstown in Elizabethtown. Talbott Tavern and Bernheim Forest is among my favorites! Sorry you didn't get to stay longer or see more of Bernheim. The views at the top are beautiful! Safe travels!
I love 1792! I was in the service industry (pre covid) & I discovered it at our bar.
Definitely gone through a couple bottles of my own during lock down.
It also makes a great gift! Not too expensive... & pretty bottle.
Wow those are incredible!! Guess we need to check out Kentucky 😁😁Safe Travels
Yes, there are “huge loud trucks” picking up and exporting all the bourbon.
I live in Louisville Kentucky. Thank you for a wonderful video. You did us justice! Just one thing - in Kentucky we don't call it whiskey, we call it Bourbon. LOL We go to Bardstown, my kids and grandmidgets, and spend the day. It is such a beautiful place.
This was fun! That distillery had loads of history and charm. The jail Airbnb was cozy, and the giants were really cool. Thanks for sharing, and happy trails. 🤓
Road trip! Woohoo! 🤗 enjoy and keep safe guys!
Very interesting, as always! Thank you for sharing your adventures!
Still chuckling over your opening. Thanks. I needed that.
I went to Bardstown in September. Such a cute little town. We did the Barton tour as well. It was my favorite and most detailed tour. Love the rickhouses as well.
Welcome to Kentucky!! Hope you liked it. Come back and visit again. Real interesting places to see!
Fun video guys, stay safe!
You guys are the only people who love whiskey as much as Abby! 🤣
Thanks for this very nice and historical video. Have a great time,
Great tour. I had not idea Kentucky has this going on. I know about the bourbon but nothing else. Thank you both.
Wow! You guys were right up the road from me. We like to hit up Bardstown every once in a while. I figured they had the giants fenced off due to COVID. Bernheim is nice to visit in the Spring when everything is blooming.
so good to have you guys keeping us company during a third lockdown in UK
Wouldn’t it be nice to enjoy the same freedoms.
@@davidjohns.3065 you're telling me. I miss travelling so much
Road trip in the middle of the pandemic, great idea guys!
Great job ! I love Kentucky... Will be doing the tour this year.
Those giants were super cool! :) Great video!

Great vlog. Greetings from Romania! 😃 🇷🇴 I really enjoy watching you two.
Nice seeing that you were in Bardstown that’s right down the road from me. Enjoyed the video as always!
Oh wow, the Bourbon tour looked great, we'd love to take one!
Awl just watching you guys eat out and have drinks looks so fun and satisfying. Im so jealous haven't been able to eat out or have drinks out for a very very long time. Im so living through you right now cheers.
Omgosh love this video! Just retired, waiting for covid to cut me lose so I can follow your footsteps...thankyou♡♡
Great as always guys 👍🍻
Great vid be safe you two and don’t forget that RV lol👍🇬🇧
Hi ya! Because of the travel restrictions I soooooo miss my favourite bourbon tipple (JD maple), which I can only get from my visits to the USA. Your brilliant video just reminds me of how much I enjoyed it.😭😭😂😂. You guy’s, Yet another enjoyable watch as per usual. xx
We love the bourbon, too. Kentucky should be on our future visit list, just for that! Cheers!
We love watching your videos. Immediately, we looked up the recipe for that Sidecar Named Desire and made it tonight. Cheers
Awesome! Hopefully you enjoyed it as much as we did 🥃mmmm!
Thanks for the recommendations! We stayed at the Jailer’s Inn and had dinner at the Old Talbott Tavern. I even tried the Hot Brown and loved it!
Ahhhh I love Bardstown! We ate the tavern and loved it. The tavern is such an awesome piece of history!
It was so fun! I wish we'd had more time to explore - that tavern has so much cool history!
great vid as usual
The jail would have creeped me out, but it would have been fun! Also the distillery! Wow! The smell alone would probably make me fall in love! 🥰
You two should have your own sitcom. Give us a 30 minute episode. I like how allison hold her liquor and how Eric has to stay sober because of he have too. No need for a script, you 2 are naturally fun. Allison guffey af and come up with the funniest punchlines. You 2 compliment each other's characters
Great video have fun 😜 what a cool place to stay .
Love this one! I live in Kentucky!! I hope you had fun!
You all came to Kentucky without telling us! Great Video! Love you guys! I can’t believe you walked into the woods in Bardstown by yourself! Risky!!!
Yum yum bourbon. Kentucky looks cool
lol that is funny about the woman trying to escape ....
Wow you travel to so many amazing places :) love it!
Yay! I've stayed at Jailers Inn! Fun times in Bardstown
Oh cool! Hopefully you didn't run into any ghosts... we didn't find out until after the first night that it was supposedly haunted 😅👻
Just love your different intro's. Stay safe😷🇿🇦
We went to the Jim Beam distillery a few years ago. $10 for anyone 21 and older, 21 and younger were free. It was awesome, it's my favorite brand so it was like coming home.
The Kentuckian in me cringed every time y’all said, “whisky.” 🤣🤣
Y’all were close to my home of Louisville ❤️❤️
Smooth sailing from here and smooth drinking 😂🍻
Start downtown at Alltech Lexington Brewing and Distilling Co., where you'll take a tour of the brewery and distillery and taste both micro-beers and bourbons.
My hometown! A great place!
It looks like a fun place to check out! We laughed because we just visited a jail and Distillery ourselves. It was in St. Augustine though. At the Distillery we tried bourbon and rum. We are rum people lol. We had a great time! The food looked awesome where you are visiting! Hopefully 2021 is a better year so we can all have more adventures!
Love your videos!!
Hey guys my wife and I have been following you for over 2 year and we just love you all. You have found our favorite KY destination, Bardstown, make sure and chk out the Mystery train if still there. And make sure and get a Bourbon flight at Talbott. Favorite distillery is Willets they have a lunch there now too I hear.
I just tried a bottled beer with bourbon in it and I kid you not that this is one bottle of beer you do not want to finish in one sitting , it is that potent.
Great intro! Such a fun video. Hoping and praying for that post COVID world.
Cheers guys.
FWIW the barrels are store in what's called a rickhouse. Love that part of KY!
omg me and husband live in Lexington, KY and we love watching you guys!!! enjoy the bluegrass!!!
You can really tell yall love Bourbon and I love it😂
That Hot Brown looks divine!!
Thanks for the tour of my hometown! I live in the Austin TX area and haven't been back in a long time. Looks like a lot has changed. You should have visited the Maker's Mark distillery. It's just a few miles outside of Bardstown and it is the coolest distillery you could ever visit.
Never been to Kentucky , would be a good trip some day. Stay safe and warm. Walk in Peace.
just wanted to say that i really like your videos and also enjoy re-watching your old ones given the current situation :)
So glad we can give you a little bit of an escape through all this craziness 🙌
