I understand how we can be hard on ourselves as homeschool moms, but I just want you to know that I think you have been the BEST online homeschool example I've watched on CZcams. I truly mean that. I've always been AMAZED at all that you accomplish with your children. Be encouraged and know that you have been a real inspiration for me and I'm sure others. You set the homeschool bar high. Which is a great thing. I'm glad to see you're back!

I can completely relate to this. The feeling of it ending before I did all I wanted to do. My kids have moved on from homeschool to regular school. The oldest declared himself ready to go when he was in the 8th grade. It was a shock to my system when the younger ones wanted to go also. I was not fully prepared but it has been great to see them spread their wings. I am more focused on personal projects and getting back to career I love. I am playing more of the role of a supporter....reminding them of who they are in Christ as they face the challenges of being out at school. The Lord will completely guide them and you!!! Hi Sarenah, I have been feeling this way too since my oldest started highschool… between whats happening in the world, our bodies & hormones changing with age and social media influences / friends it’s very hard to feel in control & steady … but we know one who is, Christ Jesus and he’s got us mommas & our kiddos in his hands 🥰🙏🏼 #leaningpnhim tx for sharing!!
Welcome back! Yes, we are still friends 😊 I've been a subscriber for many years and I enjoy your content. Let me start by saying you are truly amazing! I can totally relate to everything you mentioned in the video. My son just turned 16 and I've been homeschooling from the beginning. There are times when I felt like we should have done more. I should have been more organized. I should have been more consistent. I really feel like the time during the pandemic and after, caused a lot of those thoughts. But God reminded me too of gratitude! I looked around at everything my son has accomplished. The AMAZING experiences he's had and if it wasn't for homeschool he would not have been able to have this awesome journey! I want to thank you for all you do. Your videos over the years have been a blessing to me in these homeschool streets and I so appreciate you 😊

I clicked so fast!!! So glad to see your face 🤗and I identify with what you’re saying here so much! I have a highschooler, a middle, schooler, and an elementary-er lol. my highschooler is taking her third semester of dual enrollment classes and we only have one more year before she’s off to college and I don’t know what to do with the feelings I have approaching that next transition. But I am so thankful for the gift of time that comes with homeschooling. to just be there…. But my mama feelings vacillate, between excitement, apprehension, happiness, sadness, and so many more! Time please slow down! I am just going to keep doing my best and praying that God will do the rest 🩷😅

This is the most honest update and I'm so thankful for it. I felt like I was listening to myself in a mirror with some of the things you shared (and I don't identify with most people online). The weight of what you've been carrying....and grieving. I feel that. I felt that. I am thankful another homeschool mom with kiddos around the same age shared because some days feel like Im just a lot with how much is going on. Our bodies reflect that and I'd love to know if you've found a consistency to your own disciplines for taking care of yourself. It's tricky to find that balance.
Yes! I have homeschooled my 4 boys for over a decade now and next year I'll have two high schoolers. Some days it honestly feels like they just skipped from elementary ages to high school ages and I wonder where the time went! We didn't read all the books I wanted or do all the things I felt like we had so much time for. It's so hard! Life now is wonderful too, but it feels like time is just slipping through my fingers.

The 4 months was so full of the sweetest memories that I was holding onto for dear life just trying to soak them all in. I film/record/document home movies and memories all the time but the extra that it takes to share publicly comes at a cost that I don’t always have the grace for. But when I am able to again…. It feels so good. So lovely to be greeted with 💐 like those you’ve shared here. Thank you for your thoughts and prayers. They bless me so much!!!! 🩷💙🩷💙🩷💙
It's great to see you. Thanks for sharing. I've been traveling through some very similar transitions and the heart work will be worth it. My youngest of four is 14 and I'm graduating my second this year. This is definitely a time of seeking the Lord for what's next while navigating a new hormonal season. I hope for all the best as you embrace your new normal.

I can relate and felt the same about the same when it comes to the new chapter as they get older. We are very blessed to be able to homeschool our babies and it’s hard for them to be growing older. I feel you mama in Every aspect. I am in the chapter of perimenopause and girl that is difficult at times as our bodies change dramatically body mind and soul. With weight gain and mood swings and hot flashes. It can be a lot but we have to remember that our own self care is so so important so we can be there for our babies. I really went through a grieving process this last year as well as my oldest graduated last May. It's definitely a season of being discipline to look ahead and not look behind.
Congratulations 🎉 what a blessing!!! Although I can only imagine the array of feelings attached along the way. Yes to the discipline required to stay the course. 🩷💙🩷💙
I’ve never related to a video more. I’m in a very similar season after homeschool the past 6 years. My kids don’t “need me” like they did. Literally everything you mentioned from grieving to isolation and feeling out of control but I dislike discipline. Seriously everything you said I relate. I’m grateful that I’m not alone but also praying for you in this season. I’ve been needing to clean out my homeschool room but when I try I just see the things that we didn’t get too or unmet expectations. It’s hard finding my role now but I know God is in it. ❤
Girlllllll the way I can relate on the homeschool room clean out. I keep wanting to fix it up a bit to film a tour and document how things have changed but the way I don’t even feel like touching a thing right now lolllll. Praying for us. All is well 🤣😘

With you in the grief. It’s so hard because I too, am so thankful but it’s ok for us to feel the loss of a beautiful time that is never to be had again. I’m in the struggle too mama. And feeling that struggle to be present but also allow grief. ❤ you are NOT ALONE in this.
