- Prior to Grand-Final, we attended a press conference with Ireland's 2024 representative - Bambie Thug.
Cork-born Bambie Thug is a force to be reckoned with, a completely independent artist who has amassed over 270K monthly listeners via their unique, self-styled “Ouija Pop”. Bambie is also prolific songwriter with amassed streams of 60 million on music written for other artists of varying genres, (Cassyette, Kidbrunswick, Fabich, Fika and more), instrumentals in some of the UKs biggest nu-gen hits (Dear Goth, Petrichor, 4am) and inclusion on HBO’s Sex And The City reboot Just Like That.

I really enjoy Bambie's stuff and their honesty. But I wish they boycotted eurovision altogether. I know it must be hard since they have invested money into this and are contractually obligated to perform (maybe a fine is involved if they don't?). But if they teamed up with all the other pro-Palestine supporters in Eurovision and boycotted the show together, it would have sent a much more impactful message!
