Google Earth Timelapse of Brazil's 4 Biggest Metropolitan Regions. The estimate population in 2020 was taken into account for the order of the cities in the video.
The images were taken on december of each year (Summer in the Southern Hemisphere).
In roder, the biggest Metropolitan Regions in Brazil and their respective State are:
1 - 23.500.000 - São Paulo (São Paulo)
2 - 13.000.000 - Rio de Janeiro (Rio de Janeiro)
3 - 6.000.000 - Belo Horizonte (Minas Gerais)
4 - 4.800.000 - Brasília (Distrito Federal, Goiás and Minas Gerais)
The population numbers on the video, the 1984's as well as the 2020's, are mere estimations.
Together, the population of these four Metropolitan Regions (47.300.000) represent about 22,5% of Brazil's total population, if they were a single country, it would the 4th most populated in Latin America.
